Where is the Best Singles Scene in Detroit, Michigan?
The atmosphere at The Bosco is incredibly chic and cool. There’s no place in the D that I’d rather go to kick back and have some drinks. The crowd is cool, no cover charge, and the music/atmosphere is on par with some of the coolest bars I’ve been to in LA, Chicago, Toronto. etc. They always have an off-the-wall video playing on the one TV and the music is the hipest you’ll hear anywhere (and nothing you’ve heard on the radio). They have the best patio in town too. If you are looking for a new place to have some drinks, head to Ferndale and visit The Bosco! You won’t be disappointed. Pros + Atmosphere, Variety of drinks, MusicCons – Service can be a little slow when it gets crowded
I’ve been to this Restaurant & bar side about 10 times. I’ve had an overall good experience, but I do have to say that it’s a bit expensive for what you get. Restaurant: Great Lobster Bisque, fabulous Sunday Brunch w/ omelets to order & every starch (including excellent potatoe casserole) & meat to think of. It’s good for lunch, with a good vegetarian sandwich & a variety of unique wraps & salads. Dinner gets pricey, but I’ve had seafood & chicken dishes here that really weren’t bad, worth the price. Bar: I’ve been on the 80’s band night – hysterical & a surprisengly talented cover band! It’s a very large bar area & dance floor (and seating areas) & if it’s during the summer months they have a spacious deck out by the water w/ an outdoor bar. It can be pretty dead in there sometimes – it’s hitt or miss. There’s a pretty good mix when there’s a crowd though, older & younger people, casual & dressed to the nines….it all goes there. I also thought (when it’s busy) that it was a pretty c
We were so disappointed with the service we received at Woody’s in Royal Oak on Saturday. A large group arrived just as I was handing our server payment. Instead of returning with our change (about $20), the waitress decided to serve drinks to this group. I repeatedly asked for our change, and even chased the waitress across the restaurant in an attempt to get MY MONEY back. I was told “wait one minute.” I had already waited 30 minutes – and was taking up one of their tabels while waiting. I finally found a manager who, instead of trying to do damage control with me, yelled at the waitress to give me my money. I finally got it after 45 minutes. Bottom line: They were not staffed for a Saturday night, and obviously don’t hire the best employees. Oh, and did I mention our food order came out wrong? Worst dining experience ever. I will never return, and plan to tell all my neighbors in Royal Oak. With so many great restaurants in that city, there’s no reason to return to Woody’s.Pros +
This is just good food at a fair price and lots of it. Me and my partner love seafood so had to try this place when we heard they serve all you can eat seafood plus and a waitress brings it too your table hot and fresh each time you order a new entre.hmmm…no dry food that’s been sitting for hours at the buffet what a concept and it is quite a good one at that. The food was really good, not five star cuisine but certainly four. The beer batter shrimp and frogs legs were excellent as was the shrimp scampi. The prime rib wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but very good indeed. I didn’t really care for the london broil but that could just be me, besides there are many other choices to try. The salad bar was small but fresh and tasty… there was a cold seafood pasta salad that was incredibly good wish I had the recipe. The soups were home made as was the warm bread with a very nice honey butter. Dinner also included an appetizer of battered mushrooms that were very good. Drinks we’re r
