Where is the Best Singles Scene in Columbus, Ohio?
We were there on a Sunday night, 9ish. There were a few people there, maybe 8 tables. Our apetizer (which was chips and condement cups of salsa, chili and spinach-dip) took what felt like 20 minutes to get (the food came out 2 mintues after the chips and dip) I must be spoiled with Mexican food from the south (although Adobe Gila’s has roots in Florida), but the food was not that great. In fact, it had little to no flavor. It looked good, it was a decent portion, it had a great price but the taste was bland and not mexican-like at all. Perhaps if you’ve never had Mexican food you might think it was okay. But sadly, even Taco Bell is tastier. We had tacos and burritos, rice and beans. We also had chili. The chili was probably the best thing we had at Adobe Gilas and it wasn’t great. I can’t give it a “poor rating” because I would think that is too harsh, but I definately think the next rating up “decent” is way to generous. It was not poor, but it was not good for mexican fo
This place is definitely one of a kind. Tucked away in a small shopping center, with no parking, this place is certainly worth walking a few blocks to from your car. Highlighting the hip and cool ambience is this wrap-around the wall fish tank with columns that pass through the wall that the fish can swim up. Cool blue lighting completes the scene. The menu is filled with comfort foods and good hearty choices. My meal, the blue cheese burger was phenominal. Just a tad over cooked though. Overall a very nice experience and I will be rushing back to Marshalls.
This is the absolutely best Irish Pub in Columbus. Not gimmicky or fake like some…original and authentic. This is also the absolutely best place in Columbus for St. Patrick’s Day. You should plan to get there early and stay late. The bar doubles in size thanks to a tent that covers the entire parking lot. But bring cash…no tabs that day! Good anytime you’re looking for a fun place to hang out.Pros + Atmosphere, ServiceCons – Parking, Crowded
Skully’s is one of the best places to see a band. The sound is great, the stage is big, so there are no bad places to stand. The drinks are priced averagely for Columbus; not to high, but not very cheap. One thing to be cautious of is the staff. A few are great bartenders, but for the most part, everyone I know has had a terrible experience with staff there. Incidences include rudeness and overcharging on tabs (adding in drinks that were not ordered, changing the tip amount after the fact). It seems to be a regular thing there, so it’s better to pay with cash there, and not expect the friendly bartender that Columbus bars usually have.Pros + Parking, music, dancingCons – Staff
