Where is the Best Shoe Repair in Austin, Texas?
My favorite pair of leather boots needed a new zipper and needed new heels on them. I called around to compare prices and the shoe hospital offered what I needed done for a good price. I dropped my shoes off and in just a few days they called me to let me know that they were ready for pick up. I was pleased with the work they did, the price, and the time they were able to do it in. They saved my favorite boots!!!
I broke the heel on my favorite pair of boots. On the recommendation of a friend I took them here to be fixed. I was surprised by the quailtiy. You couldn’t tell they had been repaired. It might seem costly to some, but no where near as costly as buying a new pair of boots.PROS: Excellent job. Quick turn aroundCONS:
I dropped of pair of designer shoes off to have new soles put on and polished. The price was very high compared to places I’ve used when I lived out of state. They also tried to up-sell me on having the heels re-wrapped, which would have cost $90! Anyway, I went to pick up the shoes and there was a sign on the door saying that they were at lunch and would be back in 10 minutes. He had a passive aggressive attitude/tone and said “no, you seem very busy, I’ll wait until you are off the phone”. I put the phone aside and told him my name and that it was fine, and he said “no, you’re on the phone, we’ll just wait”! He was so rude. I would put his name out here if I thought I could, but they should seriously consider getting a new employee. This is after I waited for him to get lunch during regular business hours. The sho
I LOVE taking my shoes to Golden Slipper! I have taken a variety of shoes from pumps to boots to sandals… and they all came back to me looking brand new but still feeling like old friends, that won’t give me blisters! The shoes that I have lovingly broken in are always restored at Golden Slipper. I even had the owner, Abel, do some VERY creative work on the backs of my favorite heels once my puppy got a hold of them! …and you gotta love that Golden Slipper has been handed down to Abel through his father… that is SO AUSTIN! Go see Abel, and tell him Jen said “Hi!”Pros + Family-owned, Free parking, Great location
