I got a “full monty” which is my whole “bikini” area waxed. The full monty was $50… which i guess is reasonable. This was my FIRST wax. When i walked into the place, it was nothing special. They werent that friendly. BUT Diane (the waxer) was very professional and did a VERY good job. Its kind of like get in and get out because they are busy…And honestly i didnt want to stay there any longer than necessary.. The wax was quick and got the job done, Diane tried to make it as painless as possible for me which was nice because i was very nervous. so all and all im very happy with the result and will come back again and again. OH AND FOR ANY WAX JOBS MAKE SURE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE ITS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!Pros + quick, good jobCons – not that friendly

Bloom is a unique place. It is an embracing, accepting environment and offers a variety of classes and instructors, as well as massage therapists. The studios are spacious and beautiful, too.The best part of Bloom, though, is instructor, Sharon Walther. I started w/Sharon’s classes a year ago and found her humor, positive energy, and immense knowledge of anatomy and yoga unrivaled. In fact, I’ve moved from Lincoln Square to a neighboring suburb and still drive into the city just to continue practicing with her when I can. I’ve tried various other studios, but none of them offer the combination of instructors, aesthetics, and energy that Bloom does. The people who run it are awfully nice, too.Pros + Has one of the BEST instructors in Chi-town

Screwed over by American Airlines, I arrived in Chicago for my week-end of debauchery with old pals at 7:40 am rather than the 7:00 pm arrival that I paid for (that’s another story though) – I had a whole day to myself, the weather was marginal at best… “ah”, I thought, “perfect day to detox before the week-end of retox.” My Chicago friend told me to call Sir Spa – I called and made a reservation for the Soveirgn Package. So, here’s how I break it down – great facial – a true facial designed for the needs of men, rather than a woman’s facial cleverly called ‘THE GENTLEMAN’S FACIAL” – hot towels to sooth the stress of razor burn, masculine scented products… it’s all good, it’s all perfect. 90 minute massage – fantastic massage – had David I believe. Totally relaxing. The hand/foot detail – I walked into the cool room upstairs where they do nail services for guys. The woman did a great job and I would definitely go back. The locker room amenities were very nice, steam, water

PROFESSIONAL, CARING AND CLEANGoing to the spa feels like an oasis. You are escorted to the back of the salon with it’s subdued lighting and music. I felt pampered and not rushed from the moment I walked into the salon. I had a facial, had my eyebrows shaped and the unwanted hair removed with a string. It proved to be better than waxing. The colorist, shampoo person and stylist all did an amazing job and I walked out of the salon feeling rejuvenated and looked great. As a client it is important for me that the colorist and stylist listen to what I want my hair to look like but I also valued their comments. Working together proved to achieve the results I had hoped for.The owner obviously has taken comments from clients and keeps improving on an aready great salon. Pamper yourself and have a great expericence.

I spent a Saturday afternoon at Ruby Room thanks to some very generous friends who surprised me with a gift certificate for my birthday…still can’t thank you guys enough. I’m not much for pampering myself, but I am so glad that I did. First I got a massage that was both therapeutic and relaxing. The therapist was wonderful (and surprisingly strong). I walked out of the room in a blissful daze completely relieved of my stress and tension. Thankfully, Ruby Room’s atmosphere is inviting and relaxing without a touch of intimidation so I really felt comfortable. I followed the massage with an hour long Arcona facial with Jenifer. I kid you not, it may have changed my life. My skin looks fresh for the first time in many, many years. With Jenifer’s advice and technique I feel like I’m on my way to have truly good skin. The products are gentle and natural and they smell great. Thanks for the best ‘me’ day I’ve had in a long time Ruby Room!Pros + Relaxing, Affordable, Natural, E
