Where is the Best See and Be Seen Bar in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
I was supposed to meet a man for a blinddate one night. I showed up, didn’t see anyone that fit his description so I sat at the bar. Well, soon I was approached by a man I found out was the manager who announced to me that my date for the night was grounded in Chicago b/c of bad weather. He took care of my glass of reisling and kept making sure I was okay. When I left, I asked if a valet could escourt me to my vehicle and he promptly said, “Of COURSE!” and had one of the gentlemen outside right there for me. It was just a truly great example of a restaurant that’ll treat you the way they’d treat their own personal friends! I’ve never had full on dinner at View, but it’s the perfect happy hour spot! Also great for business meetings. They have great specials on appetizers and drinks, which can easily become a meal. I also love that their offer half sized salads. The spinach and fruit salad is AMAZING! Not overly fruity and the perfect vinaigrette to top it off. That with a glass of wine for under $10?! A 3 star restaurant with 5 star prices. The food & service are good, not great. The bathroom attendant harasses patrons & then hits you up for a tip, classy. This place may have been great back in the day but it is no longer. If you’re looking for a mediocre restaurant but want to pay for a top notch establishment this place is for you. And don’t worry about reservations the place is half empty friday and saturday nights.
Upon reading the most recent user review I approached cautiously. Obviously everyone is looking for something different. I thoroughly enjoyed both the food and service. A nice casual atmoshpere with pleasant helpful servcie. The burgers were outstanding. The Asian Surf and Turf was exactly what we were looking for. A nice variety of Appetizers and Home-Brewed beers, a little of something for everyone. We started with Happy Hour on a Thursday and moved into the dining room – the place was packed! They are definately doing something right and they sure did with us.Can’t wait to return!!!
