A large group of us went to MSB and ordered various dishes including Grilled Salmon, Seafood Salad, Crab Cakes etc. Although the ambiance was excellent, the service was slow and the food did not meet our expectations. My Seafood salad portion was too small, the crab cakes overcooked, and the Salmon lacked a smooth rich flavor to name a few examples. Unfortunately our meal started off with a lackluster serving of stuffed mushrooms. They tasted too greasy, didn’t taste fresh, and lacked a good mixture of textures and flavors that one would expect. We wouldn’t go back knowing we could have this same experience again.Pros + ambienceCons – food, prices, service

We are all really so impressed with all of you who have been to Thailand and tasted real Thai food. Truly impressed!!!The fact is, we’re not in Thailand. We’re in Salt Lake City and this restaurant has good food, good service and the decor is goreous. The beef salad was exceptional. The shrimp in the Pad Thai was fresh and delicious.Sitting on the patio was lovely and they catered to my 3 year old.

I just love seafood, and coming from the NW near a port, I’m very picky about good seafood. I was very glad to know that they get their seafood from the Pacific instead of the Atlantic which is where most, if not all, others get theirs from. The pacific is closer, it makes sense, duh! I love it. It may be a little bit pricy, but well worth the save-up. The kids ate well too and they are real young. The staff was great. Very much recommended!!

Ichiban Sushi has quite delectable sushi in a different atmosphere, The restaurant is in an old church but it’s quite beautiful with the two door entrance and stained-glass windows. Sushi can be quite pricey, but their happy hour is the highlight of the week! Mondays and Tuesdays from opening time to closing time (5PM-11PM) are half off on selected rolls and the restaurant gets very busy late in the afternoon around 6 or 7pm. It can be a bit loud inside and you’re seated somewhat closely to complete strangers, there are a few seating options outside but you have to love the AC indoors. Their sushi rolls are a bit less filling, so you may need to order about 4 to fill 2 stomachs, but the total will still only come out to about $20 before tipping. It’s a great deal for Sushi! Start the work week off right with Happy hour at Ichiban!

Lunch at Hoppers is ok but their Sunday brunch is delicious. The coffee is very good and they serve it with real cream which seems increasingly hard to find in resturants. You get a plate of 6 sticky buns when they seat you and I must warn you, they are addictive! I would eat the whole plate if I could. We always get the same thing, the crab omelet and a side of fruit. The omelet is big enough to share and it is filled with REAL crab meat, and tons of cheese, then topped with tomatoes and avocado. We like it with a side of hollandaise….SO good. The fruit varies every time but it is usually fresh and plentiful. There hasn’t ever been a wait when we’ve gone either. Maybe I shouldn’t be writing a good review of their brunch so we can keep it that way??? Pros + Crab omelet and sticky bunsCons – stick with brunch…the rest of their menu is average
