Where is the Best Seafood in Portland, Oregon?
As an employee of Twilight for the last 1.5 years I definitely know what every item in the restaurant tastes like. And I have to say I LOVE 98% of our menu items. I have had many years of working with pizza (Godfathers, Dominoes and Dragoos) and know that Twilight has the best pizza that I have come across in the Portland Metro Area. I started working as a cook my first 8 months at Twilight, and then was able to move to the front of the house and become a server. I truly enjoy serving at Twilight and taking care of our guests. We have quite a few fantastic regulars, who I look forward to seeing weekly. I have met many fantastic people and have heard sooooo many compliments about our food, service, decor (the floor and the giant blue paper lantern), our involvement with the community, and the general atmosphere of the restaurant. There are people that drive from Lake Oswego and Woodland when they want pizza. (That is a huge honor, since there are dozens of pizza joints between us
This restaurant is a gem, set in what I believe is an old Dairy Queen or other fast food building. The food is seasonal, with a specials menu that usually is almost half the size of the regular menu. The quality of the fresh and perfectly cooked sea food is beyond compare in the Portland area. If this restaurant was downtown, it would be impossible to get a table! Everything is made from scratch, from the wonderful soups, to the fantastic scones that accompany your breakfast selection on the weekends. Fresh Salmon or Halibut dishes run are under $18, including soup or salad, and the portions are large. I usually cannot pass up the crab cakes, which have ALOT of wonderful crab in them, and are always cooked perfectly (never greasy). The cheap eats menu is great, served during certain hours at dinner, this menu has 5-7 selections for $2.95, with a selection that changes each month. This is my first-time message in Citysearch.I went to Sungari Restaurant last month, they have some signature cocktails which is quite special, I especially like the Jasmine & Pomegranate Zen (Served in Hot), I don’t think you can find in other restaurant. I like the Cold Noodles, it is great for summer! The price may higher than the regular Chinese restaurant, but if you invite friends or for business meeting, I think is a nice price to go.~I just stopped by their restaurant yesterday and find out they are now change their name to Original Sungari, here is their new website too~~originalsungari dot comYou can get more idea of their menu and prices 🙂 ~~
Tried their dim sum for the very first time (July 2009). Although their selection wasn’t the greatest, but the quality was excellent. Every item we tried was excellent. The service was good, unlike some other dim sum places in China town. The location is a bit out of the way from downtown, but definitely worth the trip for very good…
