Where is the Best Sandwich in San Antonio, Texas?
Some people say these sandwichs are an aquired taste, but I can only picture the bread being an aquired taste. The bread is soft and very easy on the jaw. They have a great vegitarian sandwhich, I recommend the small sandwich if you don’t want to eat the other half for dinner. The large sandwich you could divide among a small family of 3. The Garden Special is also a favorite of mine with three meats, melted cheese and olives. The turkey sandwich I recommend with melted cheese, hold the mayoniase! This little sandwich shack is the best there is and has been around since most of the houses in that neighborhood. I recommend ordering to go, their facility is a place for regulars, not for reviewers!Pros + huge portions for affordable priceCons – neighborhood and building not so great
THIS PLACE ROCKS! EVERYTHING IS FRESHLY MADE AND MADE TO ORDER. NO PRE-PACKAGED ITEMS HERE. EVEN THE HOUSE RANCH IS MADE WITH FRESH CREAM….I LOVE THEIR #17 CHEESE-STEAK. IT COMES WITH A SAUCE THAT THEY CALL “HOMBRE” AND IT IS NOT FOR THE THOSE THAT DO NOT LIKE SPICY STUFF!TRY THEIR BLUE PLATE SPECIALS. THE CHEF MAKES A GREAT MEATLOAF AND CREAMY MASHED POTATOES. I love eating at Pam’s! Lunchtime my favorite is the salmon sandwich. I know I was reluctant at first but my friend urged me to try it and it is awesome. It is grilled salmon with a chipolte mayo that is perfect.! Yum I am getting hungry! My boyfriend loves the Reuben! They have this great bread they make there to go with the salads and soup and my salmon sandwich is made with it as well.Dinner works different with waitstaff instead of lunchtime counter service. The menu is different too. I can still get my salmon sandwich but last week I had this chicken dish with fresh tomato and basil on some sort of polenta. Awesome- I don’t remember the name of the dish but it was a special. My boyfriend had the ribeye and almost licked his plate. Our waitress was really cute and bubbly. The place rocks – great food, fun atmosphere, and an attentive staff!Pros + Great food, exceptional staff, and a patio!Cons – Sometimes they are soooo busy!
