My first experience with Pick Pockets Deli was an unforgettable experience. I was very surprised to feel the positive-relaxing atmosphere, right down from my neighbourhood. Aside from the fabulous employees and services, the food was great. There was so much verity of soups, salads, sandwiches, and who can forget the delicious falafel’s 😛 Personally, what impresses me is that when I walk into Pick Pockets I feel the thought and care that goes into making every piece of food, the best for the customers. I definitely recommend that you visit Pick Pockets and see what everyone is talking about!!!Pros + Excellent Service, Nice Jazz Pictures, Good on the Beach

Food; had the fish & chips and a bowl of baked onion soup. Food was ok, baked onion soup was a little salty and we got a pretty big piece of fish but it had a layer of batter that was a little under cooked. I just picked off the batter and ate the fish. Pickles were good. Ambiance; wife and I sat on the pub end because they were busy, normally it is that way. Plenty of room to spread out. Area was lit a little dimly, had the smell of the deodorizer from the restrooms to deal with. Service; waitress did an awesome job, she was right on top of everything. Value; we paid $35 for 2 orders of fish & chips, baked onion soup, soda and 1 beer plus tip. Wife and I have been going here for over 10 years. Food has always been good here this time around was a little below par for them but I will be going back. They make the best comfort food and desserts. Recommend it.

They offer reasonably priced sandwiches with an unusual mixture of ingredients, which are absolutely delicious! An added touch is that each…

I was born and raised in Providence and can still taste the baked bean and hotdogs all the way. The hotdogs have the best chili, I’ve traveled quite a bit since those days and have not found a duplication of the chili or any better. Haven Brother’s was where my parents took us on those evenings when no one couldn’t sleep and we all wanted something delicious. Old fashioned Americana at it’s very, very Best! P.S. Providence has the best Coffee milk anywhere.Pros + Excellent Food, Nostalgia, Great ServiceCons – , broke, don’t fix it!

I must have passed by it a million times before I realized the front door was in the back by the parking lot (yeah theres a parking lot which is a bonus on Thayer Street). I had the Shish Kabob dinner – the chicken was so tender you could cut it away from the skewer with a butter knife. Like the sandwiches, this dish is enough for two. After that I wolfed down a huge slice of warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream that were as good as grandmas.Don’t forget to stop in the liquor store on the way in – the cafe is BYOB. Also, check the board for specials. The night I went, everyone was ordering the meat lasagna special and loving it. I cant wait to go back and try it.Pros + Parking, BYOB with liquor store in the building, good conmfort foodCons – Confusing for first timers – seat yourself and oprder at the counter
