Where is the Best Sandwich in Nashville, Tennessee?
Ever hear the saying, “The difference between pigs and hogs is greed”? Well, Bread and Company has turned into hogs. I work in the building and have been eating lunch , on average three times a week, for well over a year. When I first began going I found the prices very high. Then, I discovered the combos and enjoyed that for a while. I have become a huge fan of the build-your-own salad…. until the last 30-45 days. In that time, Bread and Company has:* increased pricing* stopped offering to toss the salad* decreased quantity of toppings, for example, they now only use 1/4 an avocado instead of 1/2* implemented using a form to order…. even more impersonal service* no more choice of romaine lettuce… now you have to have “mixed” to get romaineBesides my complaints about the salad going south, they no longer offer the quesadilla and burritos. In addition, most of the staff are nice, some are very nice, but there is one that works the front register…. I forgot her name, but
For several years I have purchased bread from the Atlanta Bread Companys. I always go in the day before and place my order. Yesterday, I placed an order for two(2) cinnamon raisin breads. I left my credit card number and my telephone number, and a time that I would pick up the order. When I arrived today, I was running a couple of hours behind the time that I said that I would be there and they had sold one of my two loaves. Needless to say, I was sorely disappointed. I felt that they had broken a contract with me. In other words don’t bother to place an order and expect it to be there. You can’t depend on them!!!!!Cons – Thumbs down on placed ahead orders not honored!
The Tin Roof has this laid-back atmosphere that lets you just chill… Their food is good, not just bar food but their lunches too. On a nice day you can have your lunch at the patio. Their service is alright but the bartenders are really nice and friendly. Now on Wednesdays at 10PM, you can listen to Henry and the Seahawks. The Tin Roof is a nice place to check out when you’re in Nashville.
Provence is making tsome of the most delicious food in Hillsboro Village. The new Chef, Kim, serves a wonderfull Whole Chicken. It is so moist when you heat it up at home and is in another class from all the “rotisserie chickens” out their on the market. As for coffee, finally someone has the desire to streamline their coffee offerings and serve quality coffee (Dancing Goat was not as good as people think). As for the soups and sandwiches, they are served on artisan bread and made daily from fresh ingredients. They now make the finest soup and great salads. Granted, the service needs improvement and the place needs a good paint job with new furniture. But you get real Europen style breads and pastry made daily from scratch. I admire these guys for opening a new store in these hard times. I can’t wait til our Mother’s day meal…where Chicken, ratatouille, rouille with tuscan bread, blue cheese savory tarts with leeks and mushrooms, and a chocolate cheese cake will take center
