Where is the Best Sandwich in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
All of the desserts here are delicious but the one that I must have everytime I’m in the neighborhood is the Vanilla Cheescake, its rich and creamy and topped with a sweet glazed jumbo strawberry! I’ve tried almost all assortments of pizzas, pastas, soups and lattes, its all “okay”, desserts are what keeps me coming back and prices are very affordable The only thing I hope they can improve on is the checkout, I wouldn’t exactly consider Caffe Latte a first time user-friendly place. After ordering your dessert on the pasta bar side, you have to wait for the people in front of you to go down that long pasta salad/soup bar (and most of them chit chat and think forever long about if they want something from the bar or not). Many friends that have gone in and said that the place is confusing because you don’t know where to start with placing your order. (this is also a seat yourself place) Also, don’t think about grabbing dessert and cutting the line to get straight to the register bec
Wow! That was the best roast beef sandwich I have had in a long time. So tender, I almost didn’t have to bite into it. Had a beef brisket sandwich too. It was great. Not too much to stuff me, that’s why I got 2 sandwiches. I also got 1 sandwich to go after I was done with the first 2. That was my first time, and I plan to go back often. I went on a Monday at about 11am. There were only 3 people in the place eating, but about 6 more came and went with stuff to go. The people going to the Subway next door don’t know what they’re missing. Easy parking too. They have their own posted parking spaces. See you next week. I’ll try the pulled pork and something else too.Pros + parking, food quality, condiment barCons – none
When you think mexican I’m sure you normally associate it with hot, spicy, cheese food served on flaming hot plates… well it is; but its much more! Mexican sandwiches are the speciality here and they certainly have done it right. The authentic flavors on a wide range of styles, meats, etc. This is the place to bring people when you hear them say that annoying “I don’t like mexican; i don’t like spicy.”
I don’t know about the other reviewers experiences, but for a first timer, (apparently it used to be different) I enjoyed myself. The server was cute and spunky, ordered quickly, food came out hot and the wings were perfect. What made this an average review was the amount of time our sandwiches took. The wing makers had to take time out of their busy wing making to multi task and it must have been too much to handle. Other than having to make small talk with my friends for 20 minutes and actually enjoying each other’s company, (which isn’t so bad) the long wait kept us drinking, again, not another bad thing. What else is there to do on a June Wednesday evening at 11 pm? A piece of Minnesota Americana. (And loudly sung Led Zeppelin).Pros + Free parking, Authentic Dive Bar, Youthful ClientsCons – Bored foodrunner, Gruff Bouncer, Confused Cook
