Where is the Best Sandwich in Columbus, Ohio?

A friendly, locally owned spot thats apparently been there for many years. We went there with another couple who couldn’t stop talking about the place. I wasn’t expecting anything like what we got. The quality of the food is incredible and the price is great. A small but very good wine selection at absolutely the lowest prices we’ve seen, and we eat out alot. The waitstaff are very courteous and friendly. It’s like you’re an old friend who’s come home, even their regulars talk about how great the place is. Definitely try their prime rib Texas style. It’s unbelievable! Our friends talked us into their signature salad, the 161 Salad. It was without a doubt the best salad I’ve ever had. A definite must, but it’s big enough for two. With the huge portions they give you of everything, you might want to split the salad. We were so imprssed that we’re going back for new years eve for the surf and turf. Highly recommend.Pros + Delicious food- extraordinarily low prices

This is one of those deli’s where the workers know your name. They’re friendly and conversational, and offer a GREAT selection of delicisous sandwhiches, side dishes, and wines. The dining area is cramped but once you’re there, you don’t mind. And outdoor cafe tables allow you to soak up the sites and sounds of German Village while dining. Due to the downtown location and often busy lunch hours, I recommend going early or going late, as parking, sitting, and standing space is at a premium.Pros + Great variety of cleverly named sandwhiches. Cheaper than Katzinger’s and almost as good!Cons – Small dining area. Often very busy.

I have to disagree with the previous reviewer. Katzinger’s is an excellent deli that is much appreciated in Columbus. The claim that high prices for a deli sandwich “won’t fly” in the Midwest is disputed by the fact that Katzinger’s is still doing great business. It’s truly a case of “you get what you pay for”. If you want a very average deli sandwich at a reasonable price, go to Schlotsky’s. However, if you want a real deli sandwich, pay some extra dollars and enjoy a Katzinger’s sandwich.

This was a great lunch and would make a good dinner. The 1950’s style it was totally fun. Be careful because the pizza is only serived in the evening and on weekends but everything I have had on the menu was great. Besides that anytime to dine for 15.00 and leave full I am having a great day.Pros + Price, Taste, FeelCons – Hard to fine, Funny Ordering Set Up
