unfriendly service. The sandwiches are huge and the quality of the meat is outstanding. There is a seating area so you can actually sit and eat in the market. Unfortunately, I avoid going there because of the help. Unless you’re a regular that they know, they can be curt and almost rude. I’d like to be a regular but I don’t like dealing with the folks who run their counter.
John’s has been a favorite of the Baltimore Highlands,Lansdowne area for years.The best seller is the Italian Cold Cut. On a 8 in. fresh Italian roll.The Italian seasoning is home made. Pastories has been a landmark in the balt. area for years. They have past the tradition on from generation to generation and will continue to do so. The owner and his family are very curtious and always willing to help with any questions. The bottom line is that if you want great food,service,and a staff that are eager to help you in anyway then you have to go to pastories. Attman’s is an institution. Where old buildings on Lombard Street have been demolished and replaced with condos, Attman’s still stands and serves juicy sandwiches, delicious western fries, and an assortment of sodas. You will be entertained by the antics of the counter staff and locals. It is also politically correct there to be called “sweetie” or “hun” by the cashier. The Kibbitz Room has not changed in at least 30 years, if not more. Pictures of the restaurant and Baltimore History adorn the walls.
