Where is the Best Sandwich in Austin, Texas?
The Kitchen Door offers tasty sandwiches with my favorites being the chicken salad and meatloaf. Unfortunately the last few times I’ve had the bad luck of my sandwich being made from the small end of the bread loaf. The large pieces of homemade bread are a significant part of what can be a wonderful sandwich. For years I’ve enjoyed large, filling, delicious sandwiches. It is such a let down to receive these smaller sandwiches that I don’t think I’ll return. It’s worth a try if you are not expecting a large sandwich, but if you go with large expectations………..beware.Pros + Very tasty foodCons – inconsistent sandwich size, small parking lot
This sub shop, for the most part, gets high ratings because it was very efficient and quick getting my sandwich, despite a long line. The subs were a little above average. I usually hate to side with large chains, but I have to admit that Subway’s subs are better. Jimmy John’s just didn’t spice them up enough and were rather plain.Pros + OK sandwiches, cheap, quickCons – just OK sandwiches, limited seating
OHHHHHHH MYYYYYYY GODDDDDD!! You got to try the #13. It is sooooo good. I have never tasted a sandwich with each meat (3 kinds + salami and Pepperoni) sliced fresh on a slicer. You have to get it Mike’s Way. (onion lettuce, tomato, vineagar, oil, oregano, & salt) There is no other way to get it. The customer service is awesome. Bre is the best!!! I have been coming here quiet frequently and when she is slicing customer sandwiches, she already knows what I want without even telling her. That makes my visit even more special. Move over Subway…. JERSEY MIKE’S is COMING THRU and stomping all over you and the competition!!!!! Pros + Excellent Sandwiches, Great Customer ServiceCons – NONE
As with all Thundercloud’s, this one has great sandwiches and kooky employees. The line is always long at this location, but luckily there is plenty of entertaining info and pictures on the wall. Weird is definitely the atmosphere, so don’t expect a glazed Subway youth to serve you a sandwich, they’ll chat you up and ask where you got that hat/jacket/chip on your shoulder.Pros + food’s great, prices decent, location awesomeCons – prudish staff, line’s always long
