Yummy cod meal and wild boar bolognese was surprisingly great to my non-foodie hubby. We really enjoyed the experience. Pros + Awesome service from host, to server to bread guy!Cons – mostly seafood…few meat dishes

On a recent vacation to Seattle we had the coconut cream pie for dinner. It was absolutely amazing! We even went back the next night just for dessert and drinks. We enjoyed this night better because we sat at the bar at the pantry so we could watch the food prep. We had the fried apple pie and it was shockingly good! The dinner the night before was okay. Service was fine but not great. Atmospher is okay. Just go for desserts!Pros + AMAZING dessertCons – Not the best service

This place has my favorite chop salad in the city. They have great pizza and flat bread on their happy hour as well as a pomegrante margarita, draft beers, wine and other choices. They recently went through a rebranding experience which is sad to me – they now feel a little bit like a knock-off of a tom douglas experience. I enjoyed palomino better before. On the plus side, their happy hour does go until 8 right now – check with happy hour site gotime for current hours and offeringsPros + chop salad, thin crust pizzaCons – new menu/feel doesn’t seem authentic

Being that I am Vietnamese and love authentic home cooked Vietnamese food, Green Leaf hits the spot! There are your typical dishes, pho, rice dishes, chicken, and beef. However I highly recommend the Bahn Xeo (Bahn Sow). You can find it under the appetizer section of the menu. You can actually make a meal out of itThey describe it as a Vietnamese pancake, but crepe would be more accurate. It is a thin yellow crepe that has bean spouts and meat inside. You can get one or two! I suggest two if you are on the hungry side. It’s not a heavy meal, however makes horrible leftovers. The crepe has a very faint coconut taste to it. It’s not overpowering at all and even my bro in law (who hates coconut flavoring) loves this dish. When they bring it out, they also provide other sides (mint leaves, cilantro, lettuce, and 2 dipping sauces). Some don’t know how to eat this dish. It’s simple. You wrap a piece of lettuce around some Bahn Xeo, add some mint and cilantro, then dip! It’s a pretty mess

We went to the Oceanaire to celebrate my girlfriend’s sister’s birtthday, we sat in a plush retro booth that was comfy, and we felt like we were in our own timeless world. Fresh bread and relish trays started us off and wow even that was good. Phyllis was our server, she was friendly and always there at the right time. They ran out of salmon, but in a busy fresh fish house, this can happen, so I got the black cod instead, and that melted in my mouth it was so good. We had their brownie for dessert and that was the best part, what a decadent dessert! One of the best dinners I’ve had in Seattle, I highly recommend it!Pros + great fresh fish, food, and ambienceCons – big portions and possible weight gain
