Where is the Best Salad in Seattle, Washington?
I didn’t really know what to expect when we went to the Wedgwood Broiler. I thought it might be like The 13 coins restaurant, which is cool in a kitschy kind of way. However, it turns out that the Wedgwood Broiler is NOT a place for a big crowd of 20-somethings looking for a retro night. This place is for families with kids and for older folks looking to a ‘nice’ meal out.You walk in the “In” door and this place takes you back to a different time. Dark wood walls, tall booths with coffee cups already on the table and food being kept warm under orange, glowing lights. The waitresses, who have all been there for 20+ years, look like your 3rd grade best friend’s mom and they are warm and welcoming. The food is rather bland, but I have to say, I grinned when our house salads came out — served with baco-bits and cheez-its. We ordered a quesadilla & mini corn dogs for the kids and we each had a French Dip. Very plain, just the way the grandparents would have liked it.No, the food
Daniel’s is a very versatile location for everything from date night, to celebrating a special event. The dining room with its amazing views of Lake Union is the perfect setting for a celebratory dinner – birthdays, anniversaries, holiday gatherings. Food is cooked to perfection, and then served by experienced, attentive waitstaff who stand tableside while you cut into your meat and make sure it is cooked to your liking. Their specialty is steak and you will see why when you taste the wonderfully tender, flavorful New York, heavenly with the addition of the peppercorn brandy sauce. The lamb is melt-in-your-mouth amazing and seafood is fresh and delicious. The bar is a great choice for a date. Get cozy and pull up a comfy overstuffed chair by the fireplace. There is an early as well as a late happy hour, seven nights a week, where you can enjoy half price appetizers, and great deals on beer, wine and martinis. Try the steak strips, popcorn shrimp, and depending on how things are going,
Go here during football and college basketball season. MAKE RESERVATIONS! It is almost impossible to sit in the recliner area where the big screen is however you can see the big screen from all the tables. Our waitstaff has been friendly and not pushy… they understand you plan to be there 3+ hours and don’t expect you to order appetizer, meal and dessert. Place isn’t too loud so if you watch a game different from the big screen you can still hear. Food is okay… my reuben was awful, had absolutely no flavor but the ranch chicken sandwich is yummy. The Haagen Dazs milk shakes are delish, almost a meal in themselves! The burgers are big and hearty, I tend to share the Bleu-Cheeseburger with my husband as who needs a half pound of beef sitting in their stomach. The pizza’s are thin style so one person could eat a small. The nachos were really disappointing and not at all plentiful, especialy for $12.25 if you order with chicken. Well, we ordered them with chicken but only
