Where is the Best Salad in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?

After discovering this restaurant 2 years ago, my wife and I have visited a number of times, some of them with friends or relatives. We’ve never been disappointed (nor have the people who’ve accompanied us) with the quality of the food in any way. It’s always delicious and well-presented. We stopped in early this past Saturday and the steak I had was perfect. I don’t have a great vocabulary for culinary review, but I think my saying that it was excellent-tasting and of a generous portion size should be enough. Sometimes it’s difficult for me to find a good steak nowadays but not at this restaurant. And however good the food is at any establishment, it always tastes considerably better when you’re treated well by the staff and management. The staff is always pleasant and attentive and almost every time I’ve been in, the owner stops by after the meal and makes sure that all was up to the usual quality. I appreciate that.If you haven’t tried the 17th Street Cafe yet, put it on your l

I recently discovered The Elbow Room this past summer and have visited several times since. It easily has the best burger in Pittsburgh–thick and juicy, but not at all greasy–served with “Potato Patch” style French fries. Their chocolate cheesecake was probably the richest and best dessert Ive ever had. The outdoor patio in the rear is very quaint and romantic and possesses a European feel. It is perfect for dinner with your date or drinks with the friends. I was shocked to read other reviews touting The Elbow Room as kid friendly as I never encountered anything but a relaxed, young professional-type atmosphere the evenings I dined here. A new favorite and highly recommended.Pros + Delicious, Affordable, Romantic

Alexander’s is a regular spot for my friends and me. It’s a place that I can take a crowd because I know that everyone will find something they love. The vibe is ma and pa, and the staff is always friendly. My boyfriend (BF) and I always start with the pesto asparagus. The crisp yet tender asparagus is accented with a flavorful pesto and creamy goat’s cheese. The sauce is also great for dipping the bread. BF has been getting the stuffed banana peppers, which have become a new necessity. It is not unusual for many of my guests to order the same entree- Eggplant Alexander. The marinara sauce and ricotta cheese are the perfect accompaniment to the breaded eggplant. I tend to fluctuate between this and the pasta. The pasta is mix and match. You pick the pasta, the sauce, and then add meat and vegetables. Sometimes its basil and garlic sauce, and other times it’s a creamy tomato. But I always have to add Portobello mushrooms and get whole wheat spaghetti. You never have to str

For good food at cheap prices, this is the place. It’s not The Carlton or The Fish Market, but it doesn’t cost as much, either! It’s pretty good and I definitely reccomend it.

I love this food, but I truly love this food after a night of drinking. The steak sandwiches are very good, but not the best, sorry. I long for days of the Philly cheesesteak, FROM PHILLY!Pros + serviceCons – no parking
