Where is the Best Salad in Nashville, Tennessee?
I have been here twice, the first time for a private party. We received a private room, great attention. The food was awesome. Rich but not too heavy. I had the salmon with pine nuts and pesto. I tried to copy that recipe at home right away. Pasta was a bit mushy but still good. Prices are right on the fence. Second time, server was good. Food was just as good as I remembered. One thing that confused me was the table in the kitchen. I don’t know why anyone would want to sit there. Too noisy, busy.Pros + Awesome food, private dining, the wine flowsCons – Can be expensive
I am a big advocate of independent restaurants I believe if you don’t support them you won’t have any. J. Alexander’s is good and the food is consistant. The prices are alittle high on the side items and the side salad. My only issue with J. is the wait time and the fact they won’t take reservations or call aheads, why??They do have a good bar area and food is consistant.Pros + consistency on the foodCons – always a wait 30 + minutes, wine is over priced by $1.00 per glass
