Where is the Best Salad in Dallas, Texas?
This place has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. The food is good, consistent quality, awesome chili, but I wouldn’t say that is the reason to go there. The wait staff has been nice, courteous and responsive, but I wouldn’t say that is the reason to go there either. I would say the reason to go to Tolbert?s is that it is different, an authentic feel in a city metro area in need of authenticity. The Historic Main Street Grapevine area has the great feel that the outdoor malls try to replicate but it has 100 years of history behind it.I would definitely recommend Tolbert?s and I would recommend leaving a little time to window shop the unique area around it as well.As far as recommendations, the chili is what they are most famous for, so give it a try. It goes really well with a cold beer.Pros + Ambiance, ServiceCons – Busy to get into during Grapefest and Main Street Days
This resturant is off the beaten path but if you are in the neighborhood it is worth the walk. They are only open for lunch and have a limited menu. They mainly serve sandwitches, fruit, and soup. The chicken salad is out of this world. The fresh fruit and poppy seed dressing is always delicious, no matter what time of year it is and the soup of the day is top notch as well. I have eaten there many times and have never had a bad experience. So if you want a light lunch like a fruit and sandwitch plate, Then the Lunch Box is that place.Pros + Food is goodCons – Food is pricey
I was visting friends from out of town, and they took me to Strongs Everyday Tavern, we ate outside, on a great night, super nice patioI had no idea that I would come across the best burger I have had in a long long time, my friends wanted me to see this new place, sort of feels like a new version of a cool New York City Hip Tavern, great vibe, We all had margaritas and loved them, all fresh lime juice, we needed to have more, so we did. a few too many.I had the burger, they had the ribs which they went crazy for. one of my buds had the meatlof and loved it,smart of this place to have the choice of a full entree, or a salad or burger. something for everyone it seems.Pros + best burger, ribs, margaritas,, patio, cool crowd. good vibeCons – restroom upstairs, i like downstairs, need more TVs have em inside need outside to watch sports
We went here to celebrate my nephew’s recent return from Iraq & they made us feel right at home. It was 13 of us & unlike so many other restaurants, they did not add their own tip in the bill and even asked us if we were paying one check or seperate checks.-They did not freak out when the 2 year old started getting restless & kept wanting to wonder around..Our waitress even helped us catch the little one. The BOTTOM LINE>-On a date or just to eat good Italian food, just go!!!- You will really enjoy it. Pros + Good food & helpful waiters-Whether with a date or the spouse & kidsCons – The lasagna had too much ??chili?? powder & kinda upset my stomach
