Where is the Best Romantic Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina?
We ended up in Renaissance due to a cancelled flight on Thanksgiving Day. Since airline did not compensate us, we had to choose hotel on our own, and do so quickly. Renaissance seemed nice on the pictures and the rate was reasonable ($90.00/night with AAA membership). Room was nicely decorated with bright colors, the bed was very comfortable and clean…
The SceneThis historic home-cum-inn is set on gorgeous, well-landscaped gardens within one of Charlotte’s oldest and most prestigious neighborhoods. Its storybook setting makes it an impressive setting for weddings, conferences and romantic weekend retreats. It is a short walk to numerous restaurants. It is also close to the Carolina Medical Center. The DetailsEach of the nonsmoking guest rooms and suites is furnished with period antiques and includes a private bath. The TV system is set-up so that travelers from around the country can tune into their hometown news–just one example of how thoughtfully details are taken into account. From diet soda served with the bountiful breakfast to favorite cookies, customer preferences are noted and acted upon. Needless to say, this property receives many repeat guests. Visitors are welcome to use the facilities at the nearby Central YMCA.
This is a brand new Aloft, just opened at the end of October, and really is a great place to stay. The location is very convenient to everything in south Charlotte, the rooms and amenities are all top notch and brand new, and the staff there was very warm, friendly, and helpful. My only complaint was that the internet speed was pretty choppy, sometimes dropping while I was trying to work. I chalked this up to the place being open for about week, so I’m sure they’re still tweaking the web access. I hope to be able to stay here again sometime soon, and would absolutely recommend this Aloft to anyone looking for a cool, convenient, new, fresh place to stay in Charlotte.
