My search for an incredible and perfect hair stylist is finally over!! Heather is absolutely the answer I have been waiting for. You guys, she is an angel sent from heaven!!!! I have been to way too many hair stylists and salons (seriously, it’s embarrassing to share all the places and people I have been to in order to find Heather) only to be disappointed. All my haircuts in the past have either been terrible, mediocre, or just something that I am not wowed by. You know those people you see walking down the street and you want to just stop and ask them where they get their hair done? Well….thanks to the lovely Heather, I am now one of those people! I have NEVER been one those people until I went to Heather! It’s not only that other people notice my fabulous hair, but I feel like a movie star now. I don’t know where to begin. I love this place. Frankly, I can’t really afford it – or any spa – at this time in my life but I make it work about 3x/year (and my husband knows to get me gift certificates there!) because what it does for stress is SO WORTH IT. I always get the 80 minute massage and then sit in the grotto afterward. The price of the massage may be a tad higher than at other places, and I almost put that down as a “con,” but the grotto is included which makes it waaaay worth it for what you get, since I’d pay just to use it! It’s like being transported to another place and time – a very roman baths feel or maybe it’s an ancient tomb feel (nice dim lighting too, which can be adjusted) but whatever it is, it’s amazing. You sit in this very large (small pool-sized) jacuzzi next to a beautiful tiled wall with tea candles and they bring you wine or champagne or tea or a few other options, with appetizers, and the ceiling above slowly changes colors and has stars! I went to Blooming Moon for the first a few months ago and saw Ginny for a lash tint and wax and loved it! I was torn because I had another esthetician that I had been going to for over a year and was happy with the her work but not necessarily the whole salon that I had to go to to see her. I’m very picky about my brow and lip wax, my eyebrows keep on growing and having hair on your upper lip is never fun so I am always picky on who is going to do a good job with the brow shape for my face and not leave my eyebrows too thin and red and my lip puffy and pink. Ginny knows whats up and took care of me! The whole atmosphere at Blooming Moon was great, the location is close to my work, and the price is well worth it for the awesome services that they have. I went back this time with my husband, he got an perfect massage from Racheal and can’t wait to go back. Considering he is a guy who is not into the whole “spa” thing that I get excited about he was really impressed and felt comfortable
The Dragontree is such a special place. Just walking in the front door I feel I’m invited to let go of my daily stresses and experience peace and healing. I have had massage from Roxanne, Joy, John, Chrissy and Serena and they are all so gifted and present in the art of massage. When I started working out again I was of course sore and needed a soothing and gentle massage, and they do that so well. I typically however have tension headaches and postural problems which requires deeper massage and more knowledge and skill. I am so impressed with the quality and expertise of the therapists at The Dragontree. Each time I go, where ever I am physically, mentally and emotionally, each therapist has been receptive and attentive and I get exactly what I need. When I just have the time or money for a little bit of nurturing, it is amazing how much I benefit from a head, neck and shoulder massage or foot massage in the Sangha Room. The Sangha Room is a community room with big cushy couch
The whole experience was wonderful from check in to check out. I had the Kanani No Ka Oi spa package which included a body wrap and facial with Lauren. I never felt rushed and the facilities were very clean. When I left, my face and body felt better than I had expected and I was really relaxed.I have very sensitive face skin – I think more sensitive than most – which I expressed to my therapist. I explained to her some of the issues I’ve had with my face and the types of products I use to clean it. I also had recently used a product suggested to me by a friend which had left my face inflamed and broken out. Lauren, the therapist, not only was familiar with the products, but also made some excellent recommendations. She also took the information I provided to customize a facial that soothed and nourished my skin. I was a bit nervous when I ordered the facial because I had had one before at different spa and my face was red and on fire for more than 3 days. But I felt heard at Kanan
