Where is the Best Pool Table in Portland, Oregon?
I’ve gone to Sam’s pretty regularly over the past year when I’m in the mood for a burger and beer. The food is diner-quality – not the healthiest, but tasty and just what I’m looking for sometimes. The beers on tap are good, including Rogue’s Dead Guy and Bridgeport’s IPA. Their free wifi consistently works – something I can’t say about too many other places. Some people have talked about the music being played too loud – I agree there have been a few times I’ve gone in there and found it to be pretty loud. But the vast majority of the time they keep it down. I usually avoid the place when it’s especially busy for that reason.Pros + Good burgers and casual atmosphereCons – Can by noisy during busiest times
The food here is actually really good. Nice job chef! I have eaten here a couple of times since the remodel and it is good. No question. Bartender was good. She poured a mean shot. I still miss the old rialto. Miss the characters, the old bartenders and cocktail waitresses and the old layout. The new layout just doesn’t do it for me. It is still a good spot to go and smoke a cigar and watch a game, even if your waitress is barely twenty one and doesn’t even begin to have a clue. Oh well, I guess nothing ever stays the same!Pros + Nice pour from the bar, you can smoke a cigar, great food, really….nice job.Cons – young clueless staff, miss the oldschool rialto
