The Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) does require you to speak or enter the patient’s name during the eligibility and claim status authentication process. There is an IVR name and number conversion tool that was created to assist those provider offices that wish to key the beneficiary’s name rather than speak it. Simply type the beneficiary’s name, press the convert button and the name will be converted to the number that is required by the IVR. You can access this tool on our website.
