Where is the best place to vacation on Spring Break in Florida?
Panama City in the Panhandle of Florida has emerged as the top Spring Break destination with an estimated half million college students taking a break from school and cold weather. Daytona Beach (pictured) and Miami Beach’s South Beach also remain popular destinations. Panama City is on the Gulf of Mexico and boasts 27 miles of white sand beaches, emerald green water, super clubs, miles of restaurants and shops. Considering its Northern Florida location, Panama City cuts off hours of drive time that makes it the closest spring break destination. The downside to this is that the weather can be unpredictable. Panama City Beach is a popular site on MTV spring break programs because it offers the best beaches and the biggest and best spring break clubs such as Spinnakers and Club La Vela.
