Try exhibiting in local shows and competitions, such as fairs and ‘art in the park’. Ask local businesses if they would display your work. Many places like to have work to show, including banks, airports, restaurants, shops and so forth. Be sure to ask if the work will be covered by their insurance while they have it on the walls. Try your local galleries to see if they will exhibit your work. One word of caution; a gallery will usually take a 40-60% commission on the sale, so be prepared for that. If you can find one that will agree to only 30-40%, that’s a very good deal. GET A RECEIPT for any work you leave, anyplace!!
