Where is the best place to position the conservatory?

0

Your conservatory will be largely affected by how much direct sunlight it will get. South facing conservatories have the most sunlight and are therefore considerably warmer. If your conservatory is south facing you will need extra ventilation and should opt for roof vents and extra opening windows – also you will probably need roof blinds or tinted roof glazing. North facing conservatories will receive the least direct sunlight and you will require better window and roof glazing for extra insulation. East facing conservatories will catch the early morning sun, but are similar to North facing conservatories in that they will be cooler. A West facing conservatory get a good amount of sunlight and will catch the evening sun.
