Where is the best place to ice fish in the lower peninsula of Michigan?
I’m not exactly sure what the “treeline” is, but some of the more popular lakes that get attention for panfish under the ice in the L.P. are as follwos: Gun Lake near Hastings Hamlin Lake near Ludington Houghton Lake Lake Mitchell and Lake Cadillac in Cadillac Fletcher Pond near near Alpena Higgins Lake near Houghton Lake Portage Lake near Manistee There are countless other lakes where you can get on the ice and catch panfish, but these are are few of the ones that get a lot of attention.
