Where is the best place to find meteorites? Why?
Antarctica is widely regarded as the best place to find meteorites because they stand out compared to the snow and they’ve been gathering there for a long time. It works only because there is actually very little annual snow in Antarctica to bury the meteorites. Second to antarctica is any other desert with little vegetation cover though it’s obviously harder to find a meteor mixed in with other rocks. An old dry lakebed would be a good place to look for that reason.
