If you have never been to San Francisco, go there soon. You will feel like you need a passport, though, because it is not like any other city in America. It has everything you described and more. Hike and bike through Golden Gate Park and the Presidio. Go to concerts and plays and just walk along the bay and enjoy the Golden Gate Bridge. Here is the easiest way to check it out for not much money. Find a cheap flight to SFO on-line. Buy a $5 pass when you arrive, and take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) straight to downtown. Buy a weekly pass from a Muni kiosk (There is one nearby at Market & Powell Streets) for $24 and you will have unlimited use of buses, trolleys and cable cars. Now all you have to do is eat. You can find reasonable places to eat, but you will also find some of the finest restaurants in the world here. Splurge at least once,
