Where is the Best Pizza in Richmond, Virginia?

I got the hand tossed pepperoni pizza last night and I admit it was a pretty good NY style pizza. The crust was still a little thin for my taste, and they still had a thin crust to order!! That must be like eathing a cracker with pizza sauce. Anyway the pizza sauce they use was really good, had a lot of flavor to it, the cheese used was good. They had one of the largest topping choices I have seen at a pizza place. They have your pizza ready in about 10 minutes. Their cheese bread is interesting…slices of provolone wrapped around the outside, needed more garlic but was good other than that.Pros + descent pizza, fast serviceCons – crust too thin

The Pizza at Sal’s is great – good crust – but the service – let me put it this way – it would have been better if I just waited on myself. The waitress noticed our empty glasses placed at the edge of the table and turned to continue her conversation with her friends, then sat on her backside and picked up the phone…if you order the pizza – make it to go….

We eat at Cazzoli’s fairly often. The extra large sizes are a little on the pricey side when you start buying two or more pizzas. No matter the size, they all taste fantastic! They knead the dough themselves – so no worries that they’ll run out of a size like some of the chain pizza joints, and they cook the pizza to order. The toppings always have appeared and tasted fresh. The crust, by far, is a favorite – it always comes out deliciously crisp! You can also order by the slice – which is convenient for a quick snack. The only downside of this restaurant is its tight and narrow seating/standing room. The oven is kept out in the open, and not in the back, so come summertime it gets a little warm.I would recommend calling your order in advance. For any order at any restaurant, it’s a good idea to have them read it back to you so it is more likely to be correct, ready, and hot for pickup!Pros + Great tasting pizza, and ServiceCons – Narrow restaurant, Hot pizza oven can

Having grown up in Richmond and even right around the corner from Cary Town, I have had the chance to watch the fluctuations in the various eateries. While Mary Angela’s has been a constant, and has been a Cary Town tradition for most of us much of our lives, there has been a steady decline in the customer service as business has picked up. There have been times when the quality of the food has declined, but they quickly fixed that. With the current staff, if the food ever declines again, I’m sad to say that Mary Angela’s might not make it another decade.Pros + Food, Location, HistoryCons – Parking, Customer Service

I love pizza and to be honest with everyone readiing this review Jo Jo’s is the best I have found anywhere in the U.S.I travel for a living and I have tasted pizzas all over the States. Jo Jo’s is a simple place but the friendly owner makes everyone feel right at home and always has a friendly smile and kind words for everyone. My favorite pizza at this eating establishment is the “Feta Spinach Pizza.” It is not unusual for me to order several slices of this mouth watering pizza. I have tried several of Jo Jo’s subs but I keep going back to my favorite pizza. If you love pizza you’ll love this restaurant. In a world of McDonalds and Pizza Huts the fresh ingredients that are used at Jo Jo’s make these pizza tasty and suprisingly well priced.Pros + inexpensive, clean, friendly
