Where is the Best Pizza in Providence, Rhode Island?
Do not go to the new casino if you are a non-smoker. They dont tell you that its smoking. If your are looking for smoke free you have to walk 10 min. to the other side of the property. Thru the smoking section.I brought an elderly person. We got out at the new valet. They saw oxygen. No one told us that it was entirely smoking. We were then guided to go 10 min away to the opposit end to the non-smoking section. What a dump. Old machines and run down.Go to foxwoods or Mohegan Sun
Since moving to RI, I’ve been searching for a place with pizza like the pies at Boston’s Pizzaria Regina. Aside from the Regina franchise location in the Providence Place Mall, Carmella’s is the most like that authentic thin, chewy-crusted recipe I crave. (They call theirs “New York Style”, but something tells me someone over there worked at Regina at one time… <: )Both locations (Middletown and Providence) have fabulous pizza, with everything from traditional to exotic toppings like goat cheese and caramelized onions. Sandwhiches, calzones, pasta - it's all great, and reasonably priced. They give you a HUGE salad for the money, as well. The Middletown location has about 10 tables, and is great for lunch or a casual dinner. Portsmouth only has three tables and a couple of counter stools - much more of a take-out atmosphere. Nicely painted walls and copper tables grace each location. Staff is always friendly and efficient. My kids and husband all agree - Carmella's is the
The main word here is “fresh.” At so many other pizzarias, the taste of the ingredients is masked by the salty sauce or heavily salted pie. At Bob and Timmy’s, one bite into their Veggie Pie brought a delicious medley of the heaping pile of vegetables. I could really taste the distinct flavor of each veggie. I’ve never had a pie with fresher ingredients. Also, the mesculin salad with their homemade balsamic dressing and crumbled goat cheese was simply outstanding. This is definately a pizzaria that is worth sacrificing the convenience of delivery and going to for sit-in or carry-out. Plus, it’s mighty convenient that Pastiche is just a block down the street!Pros + Pizza, Inexpensive, Cozy Ambiance
