Where is the Best Pizza in Portland, Oregon?
the crust was good, but nothing spectacularThe pepperoni and sausage tasted greatThe medium pizza would easily feed most couplesIt took about 15 minutes for our order to completeIt cost a little more, but it’s worth itI definitely recommend itPros + tasty, generous toppingsCons – slightly more $$ than average pizza places
I’ve eaten here quite a bit in the past, typically for a pizza slice and a breadstick. The breadsticks are great and the pizza is usually excellent, although sometimes it is a little burnt. When the Pizza is fresh and hot out of the oven, it is very good. I think Hot Lips needs to improve a little bit on its pizza-by-the-slice consistency, and make sure Pizzas don’t come out burnt or stay out on the display too long. Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about the place. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, there is always reading materials around to read, plenty of napkins, beverage selection is very good, and lots of organic ingredients used in the food that they make.Pros + Extremely good pizza and breadsticks, good atmosphereCons – Inconsistency sometimes in pizza by the slice
Atomic pizza. The prices are cheaper than my spot down the street…sorry normal spot but i need the whole pie tonight. The crust was amazing, a bit more mealy than the wannabes and more crisp than the wannabes and more taste than the wannabes. The toppings are fresh tasting, even the peperoni tasted halfway between normal and uncured. The cheese, I know this taste…it’s called good… If your planning on opening a pizza place or saying other local favs are good, try here first for a slice or a pie, then look me in the eye and tell me it didn’t put the others to shame; that’s right, you can’t! The fact there isn’t a line out the door is shocking, but they are still “new.” I also ordered a pizza beyond the regular peperoni. The garlic sauce with chicken was insane!Thank you atomic, thank you for making me not continue to suffer through the established local chains, and letting me enjoy what i treat myself with once a week, and that is a delicious pizza. Pros + Easy loca
I’ve always loved this location… Great Outdoor Seating, Great Happy Hour Menu, Great Beer!….. too bad they turned to “pizza”…. where’s my ORIGINAL Laurelwood?? Anyway, nostalgia aside… the pizza isn’t that good here at all, despite the intriguing beer additions. I don’t particularly like their sauce (because it’s too sweet), or their wheat pizza dough in the pizzas (because it doesn’t crisp, or they don’t cook it all the way). The Calzones are my favorite, because the sauce is on the side, and the wheat dough cooks up nicely. The service here is business as usual, so that helps to make up for the loss in the menu/food quality…. I understand what Laurelwood is trying to do here, branching out and making all of their locations different to build a draw for each, especially considering the new change in menu at the newest Sandy location… However, I’m afraid they are weeding out local pedestrians to make room for driving commuters. I hope the 23rd location doesn’t change much f
As an employee of Twilight for the last 1.5 years I definitely know what every item in the restaurant tastes like. And I have to say I LOVE 98% of our menu items. I have had many years of working with pizza (Godfathers, Dominoes and Dragoos) and know that Twilight has the best pizza that I have come across in the Portland Metro Area. I started working as a cook my first 8 months at Twilight, and then was able to move to the front of the house and become a server. I truly enjoy serving at Twilight and taking care of our guests. We have quite a few fantastic regulars, who I look forward to seeing weekly. I have met many fantastic people and have heard sooooo many compliments about our food, service, decor (the floor and the giant blue paper lantern), our involvement with the community, and the general atmosphere of the restaurant. There are people that drive from Lake Oswego and Woodland when they want pizza. (That is a huge honor, since there are dozens of pizza joints between us
