Where is the Best Pizza in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?

I have been eating Frank’s Pizza for 25 years and I miss the fact that I can’t have a slice whenever I want anymore. Living 2300 miles away puts a damper on that, and there is no “standout” pizza shop anywhere in the blustery desert. The first thing I do when I travel back home to Baden is go to Police Station/Pizza House and get 3 slices there, then head directly up to Frank’s and order a pie there. I eat the Police Station/Pizza House first because its an excellent pizza as well, and a staple in the Ambridge community. I then get the Frank’s pie with pep on it, because you know what they say…..SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST! There were many times as a youngster that Frank’s Pizza eased my hangovers and satisfied my munchie cravings. Those days are over for me, but even without “help”, my mouth still waters every time I think about Pizza in Ambridge!Pros + Park right on the street in Historic Downtown Ambridge, Charming Atmosphere, The Sauce and Dough is Made With LoveCons – The

A couple of years back, my family was told by a friend that we just HAD to try this “hole-in-the-wall” pizzaria downtown called Fiori’s. Pizza is my favorite food, & I’m pretty sure about what I like & do not like, so I was kind of skeptical walking into this old, little pizza shop. But as soon as I tasted it, I immediately fell in love with it!The combination of cheeses gives the pizza a mouth-watering flavor. The sauce isn’t pasty & there isn’t too much. The crust is the perfect thickness & has the perfect crunch. It’s simply the best! Not only do they do pizza right, but my family loves their subs & their wings. I see people getting pasta in there a lot as well, which looks very good. One of the only drawbacks is that it’s not as good reheated. In order to fully appreciate how fantastic this pizza is, you have to eat it in the restaurant. It tends to get crowded at all hours of the day, but it truly is worth the wait!My family craves this pizza & drives almost an hour to eat h

I no longer live in the ‘burgh (and sure don’t miss the weather) but truly miss Sir Pizza. Many an evening I schlepped down the road to pick up dinner, snack or late-night pig-out. The price, the quality and the service were always SUPER!Pros + Inexpensive, Good ParkingCons – Limited hours

I dined here last night with my boyfriend. Upon arriving we were told there was a wait for the dining room. We could clearly see there were many open seats. The hostess explained that they were understaffed. Ok. We tried to seat ourselves in the pub and jostled with other diners and happy hour-ers for a seat. At this point we decided to forgo entrees and have side salads, pizza, and beer. Although service continued to be spotty, we really enjoyed our pizza (we had the five cheese – and it was somehow not greasy), salads (very fresh), and beer. The building is really neat. I would definitely return but would probably stick to the pizza and more casual stuff – this seems the establishment’s strength.Pros + Pizza!Cons – service
