Where is the Best Pizza in Oakland, California?
We were immediately greeted by the head chef (owner?) who made us feel very welcome. The crab special was beyond abundant, I’ve never seen this much crab in a single serving. Outstanding food and the service was nice. I really can’t understand the negative ratings as this was definitely a top restaurant in Alameda. Salad was excellent. Soup was excellent. Service was just great and not too overbearing. The steak with gorgonzola was probably one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant… it was cooked PERFECTLY, the sauce was outstanding along with the sides. After the meal, wanted to give the chef a hug. It was that good! Yes, it’s a little pricey but worth it!
Blondies is a good restaurant for students on the go. If you need food fast you can just drop by and buy a slice of pepperoni or cheese. They have it ready and give it to you immediately. Ordering a combo slice or specialty slice may involve a small wait. It is also very convinient how their prices factor in taxes so you get clean change. I always love places that dont give you pennies and nickels but instead quarters only.Anyways the pizza here is also pretty tasty. It is always hot and fresh tasting even though it comes quickly. The slices are fairly large although it wont fill up big eaters. Ive had better pizza but it is still very good and when it comes to Blondies that isnt the point.fattius sez go to blondies if you need food fast such as right before a midterm and you realize you forgot to eat
Pizza Rustica on College Avenue is my favorite restaurant. I know they do take out and delivery, but I enjoy eating in the restaurant. The pizza is incredible, as it arrives at the table. Their Caesar salad is to die for. You can also order a cocktails from their upstairs bar. Servers are friendly and they have cool Italian music which fits the mood perfectly.We eat there at least once a week and enjoy it every timePros + Excellent Pizza, wine list, good valueCons – parking
