Where is the Best Pizza in Nashville, Tennessee?
After stopping by last Friday night, I now see why Christopher Pizza Co. was voted best pizza in Nashville. Not only were my friends and I thoroughly entertained by the great live music, the food was fantastic. You have to try the Bringin’ Home The Bacon and Swap Meat. And the Jamaican Me Hungry slice is tasty too! Great service and cool atmosphere add to this small but cool restaurant’s charm.Pros + Great Pizza, Cool Servers, Live MusicCons – Music a little loud
I am from Chicago, and have always been a pizza snob. Since I have lived in Nashville, I tried every single pizzeria that claimed to be good, and they all sucked! EXCEPT at Vinny’s Pizza. At Vinny’s Pizza I felt like I was back home in Chicago, but honestly, what these guys do there, is even better than even the best pizza I have ever had in Chicago.Everything on the menu is phenomenal, the wings are the best, (By the way, the food editor must have a few screws loose or lacking in tastebuds not to have liked them.) Because everything I have ever tried there is amazingly great. Definately worth a trip, and I drive 45 minutes one way sometimes twice a week to get my Vinny’s Pizza fixPros + Awesome food, Creative Discounts, Way cool vibe!Cons – none
I’m the daughter of an Italian Chef from New York, so I have grown up appreciating good Italian food. My dad found this place years ago when he used to work downtown and once I grew out of my very picky eater stage, he brought me down. Its difficult having an allergy to tomatoes, but I fell in love with my first bite of my white pizza. I ate three whole slices, a lot of NY style pizza for someone to eat, especially with a ton of ricotta on it in June. I would try something different every time I’d go until I found my beloved Cheese Roll. I love the way it smells when you walk in, and how if you go there more than three times Manny remembers you by face. It has the best feel of any place I’ve ever been to, including Joey’s House of Pizza in Brentwood. The best food ever, and that comes from a former winner of the World’s Pickiest Eater Pageant.Pros + Delicious food, the smell that lingers and reminds you of a great meal afterward.Cons – Location is impossible, I can’t drive myself
Mellow Mushroom is the second-best pizza in town – a close runner-up to Guido’s. Their crust is great and they offer a wide variety of toppings. Dining in is usually a fine experience although I have had a few flighty waitpeople who seemed to take to stoned 70’s decorating theme too seriously. My only complaint is their single slices – which suck compared to a whole pie. I have had the single slices for lunch twice and each time they were kind of cold and the cheese had re-solidified. Pros + great pizza, interesting decorCons – a little pricey
