Don’t have the time for Broders’ Pasta Bar? Go to the Cucina! The food is a little less glamorous, but just as tasty. Try the super flat pizza or a manicotti (or two). I also like the caprese and their Pane Villaggio (village bread). It’s a deli so don’t expect more. You can get entrees, a side dish, bread, cheese, olives, salami, and drinks for two for less than twenty bucks. Not too shabby, especially when you see and taste the feast you just ordered. The food is good, but the air-conditioner is on full blast. If you go in the summer make sure to bring a layer because it will feel like a meat locker. Also, don’t go near closing and expect to eat there, they close up shop pretty fast and you end up feeling rushed.Pros + inexpensive, take-out, tasty!Cons – climate

I’ve always been too occupied by eating hot dogs from street vendors when on the East Coast, so couldn’t say if this was authentic or close to it or nothing like. The crust is crisp, there is usually not too much or too little sauce, the cheese isn’t like plastic. You also have a variety of toppings like feta or spinach. The slice is wide for better folding. It is a little greasy, which isn’t a problem if you don’t mind dabbing it with the napkin or devouring all the delicious grease. The servers are deliciously punk and you don’t have to put up with the annoying fake courtesy and high-pitched voice of daffy waiter. Pros + Yumtastic pizzaCons – A little cold-ambiance inside the store

This was my first time at Arezzo. This place was recommended by a friend. I didn’t make a reservation, but went early on a Saturday (5 p.m.). Lovely and prompt service. The place got busy between 6-7 p.m., but our service didn’t deteriorate. Appetizers were clamari (that was melt-in-your-mouth tender) and spinach in olive oil, garlic and pine nuts. Just enough garlic to flavor the spinach, but not overpower the dish. My entree was a pork loin chop stuffed with apples, italian ham and cheese on top of garlic mashed sweet potato and a cream sauce. Wonderful! Portion was exceptional, very filling, tender and moist. For dessert, three of us share the tiramisu. It was a huge portion. Although it was delicious, we couldn’t finish it. This wasn’t “done up” tiramisu, (I’ve had tiramisu at other gourmet Italian restaurants where they put orange zest in the dessert, which overpowered the dish). This was the traditional, well done tiramisu! This fine fare was priced right. Nice restaurant for fr

I like pizza, especially thin crust, and this is a great location to get just that. One of the great things about this place is that the time from when you order your pizza until you get it, if they are not real busy, is about 5-10 minutes. I’ve had a few of their different varieties, and I’ve loved them. They can be a great snack/lunch if you share with another person or a great meal if you are hungry enough to do so. The location near lake Calhoun could easlily have parking problems being near Applebees, Walgreens and Barnes & Noble, but the food is so good that a little walk and patience is paid off by the great pizza.Pros + Flavor, taste, variety and speed.Cons – Parking

I went here last year with a party of 8. The wait wasn’t too long and the staff was nice throughout the visit. Seating was limited since we were there in the winter and the patio was not open. They have a great selection of drinks. A couple of the girls in our party ordered the big volcano (I think that was the name) drink topped off with a flame burning in the middle. Beer was enough for me. Pizza was great, much better than your average chain pizza variety. Overall dinner was a great experience and I loved the ambiance of this place. Pros + Pizza, CocktailsCons – Space (In the winter)
