Where is the Best Pizza in Minneapolis, Minnesota?
I have always loved savoy’s. it’s by far my favorite pizza. My fiance had never been so we went out to eat there, we were initially told it would be a 45 min. wait for the pizza, which was fine because it was mother’s day and busy. Our waitress took our drink and appetizers orders, it took 15 min. for our drinks to reach our table, a half an hour for our appetizers and an hour and a half for our pizza. our waitress wasn’t checking on us, we could see her just inside the kitchen stuffing her face while we waited for our food(I was also pregnant at the time), i had to stop her for a drink refill. I have worked in many restaurants, and know how tipping goes, We didn’t tip her too well, than we realized she was okay with that, because she took the HIGHEST amount of recommended gratuity out of our change. I love savoy’s too much to not eat there, but i am never dining in again.Pros + love the spicy sauce and pizzaCons – staff and wait times.
A few times a month, I work about 2 blocks from Cassetta’s. Because of that, I’ve gotten a chance to sample many items.Pizza – In my opinion, the pizza is the reason to come here. Big, thin-slice with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I was so excited to see it the first time there that I made the mistake of ordering 2 slices. I was stuffed. One slice is probably plenty for most adults. The pizza is the closest thing in the Twin Cities that I’ve found to a “real” New York slice…. but it’s just not the same. Unfortunately, I can’t pinpoint what is missing, but there isn’t the right seasoning. It’s just slightly more bland than it should be. But it’s pretty darn close. Pizza – a solid 4 stars Other food – I’ve had the sausage sandwich that they’re famous for, as well as several other sausage and pasta dishes. They’re ok. Tasty, but nothing special. Other food – 3 stars. Atmosphere – I really like the little Italian market that’s atta
The decor is absolutely decadent. I ordered a grilled cheese with a bowl of soup. The cream soup was outstanding. However, the grilled cheese left something to be desired, like melting. A very fresh location with many lunch options. I would highly suggest this place for lunch. Pros + Great SeatingCons – White Bear Lake
I have never been disappointed with a Broadway pizza, their sauce is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. The toppings (best sausage), are plentiful and all good quality. If any one (little) complaint I have is that, sometimes they don’t put enough cheese on it, many times I will order with extra cheese in hopes they don’t put too much on. Service is always good, we usually stop in for a beer and order to go.
