Where is the Best Pizza in Denver, Colorado?

Mici does great Italian comfort food, fast. Everything I have ever eaten here has been spot-on in terms of freshness, flavor and authenticity. Their Cesar salad dressing is the perfect balance – decadent and authentic, without being overly-anchovied. Pizzas are flavorful from the crispy crust to the fresh ingredients. Even their house wines are wonderful. Everything on the menu is quite affordable and well worth the price. My one…not complaint, but question, I guess, is why did they decorate in this modern green ‘fast food’ style? I think they would have done better to have their ‘fast fresh food’ model with a more rustic atmosphere – wooden tables, more of an ‘enoteca’ type feel. It would be more in keeping with the food. Still, the decor won’t keep me from going back for the great eats.Pros + Cesar salad, friendly serviceCons – Slightly out-of-kilter decor

This big red building on East Evans has been a best kept secret for years, in my opinion. The cast and crew of good people and fun staff rock, the place is funky cool, there’s a ton of parking (yes I like that) and they play good rock music. Oh yeah, the food- it’s very good. No fine dining, just some of the best burgers in the entire city. Try the secret house burger- oh my God. I do get it that most people come here for the pizza though, and how can you go wrong with an all you can pizza bar where they let you try a little of everything? The buffalo chicken pizza might be the best hangover cure in Denver. Oh most important- a full bar with a hot bartender. Try finding that in most pizza joints!Pros + Food, Booze, Music and parkingCons – It’s at Evans and Quebec- oh well….

Parisi is one of those places I’ve become addicted to! Even though the joint has becoming incredibly popular (read long lines) it is still always a pleasure to wait for my perfect pizza. The other dishes can be incredible as well, such as the homemade gnocchi and risotto. Parisi is the closest thing I’ve found to Italy, were I travel often, as it offers a fun, come everyone and bring your outside voice and vino sort of environment. The last time I was in we had a party of eight people on a Saturday night and the staff made us fell at home as we waited (quite a while) for our table. They even brought us some snacks to munch on at the counter and the kids were entertained by the showmanship of the pizza makers. When we got our table we enjoyed the the dishes we had ordered and were amazed at the number of people waiting to get a taste of this little slice of Florence. My only complaint would be the crazyness of the entire process, but it also adds to the charm of the whole experienc

Pasquini’s on Broadway is a hip place that even un-hip people can enjoy. I go for the chicken pesto pizza, which is delicious! My husband usually gets the spaghetti. Their salads are very fresh and they have a good wine selection by the glass or bottle (good bottles for under $10). The only drawback is that they can be very crowded at times, although they recently expanded, so maybe this is not so much of a problem anymore. I recommend this restaurant.

A New Yorker could come to Denver, make pizza using the exact same ingredients and the exact same methods, and you’d still have snobs complaining it “just ain’t da same.” Well, I’m not from New York, but have been there before and tried their pizza, at a spot recommended by a New Yorker, born and bred. The difference between Anthony’s and that place? Not much. They both offered NY pizza, which means an unimaginative pie consisting of some cheese and too-sweet sauce spread over a glorified tortilla of a crust, so thin that you have to eat it like a paper airplane. If you want good NY-style pizza that any honest person would say tastes like the “real” thing, Anthony’s is the way to go, but if you want good pizza in general, find a Chicago-style pie.
