Where is the Best Pizza in Denver, Colorado?
I am the owner of Virgilio’s Pizzeria and yes my name is Virgilio. This message is addressed to the individual (s) who has written 20 different reviews under different aliases in the past few months. You should be ashamed of yourself. This pathetic attempt to try to slander me personally,my hard working staff, or my fabulously cheesy pizza is as see-through as your sub-standard pepperoni! I know it hurts to see me in the paper and magazines over and over and over, basking in the gloriousness of my marinara, but that is what hard work and great quality produces! If you think writing reviews that say such ridiculous falsehoods such as “don’t believe the hype”, “greasy”, “expensive”, “bad service” will hurt my business you are out of luck! Business is better than ever as you already know, with lines out the door daily. May I suggest that you spend time at your restaurant, not mine, trying to make a better product, instead of writing bogus reviews, maybe we would see you in the pap
Proto serves one of the better thin crust pizzas in Denver. They offer a good array of fresh ingredients, small salads and a decent little bar. The place is small and has a limited number of tables, but the patio is great if it’s warm. The atomica is a good choice if you like a lot on your pizza. Their sausage is flavorful, not too much fat with a good amount of fennel. Sometimes the pizzas could use more sauce. The salads are prefect for an entree or for sharing, but a little expensive. The wine list is good and fairly priced, nothing eclectic, but easy to navigate. The service is very casual, not much better than a Chili’s, but it’s never bad, just nothing to write home about.Pros + Good thin crust pizza, fresh saladsCons – Parking
so there are a bunch of folks sayin that this is the best pizza on earth. well i guess they have never been to the east coast. thats a bold statement and should not be taken lightly. yes it is good pizza but it’s not the the bees knees. i have to say i dug the pizza. it reminded me of roller rink pizza, which is a guilty pleasure of mine. bonnie brae’s pizza blows the chain pizza joints outa the water. it is an odd place, kinda like walkin into a grandparents head. i think everyone should check it out and see for your self. the pizza is worth checkin out. the wait staff is a little odd but so am i so it fit. enjoy. hope this helps.Pros + huge sodas, no wait, dated feelCons – garlic bread, odd waitress
