Where is the Best Pizza in Cincinnati, Ohio?
Wife does not like it all that much. I think she is more of a deep dish kind of pizza lover. Kids and I love it. We think it is the best pizza in town and reasonably priced. Have gotten one pizza overcooked, but when it is done right, best pizza around (and we have tried them all).Worth trip from Mason at least once per month to go and order at least two larges. Ambience is OK, but usually we get them to go. We are very picky pizza people so for me to say anything complementary is good.
I waas in Cinci for the Flying Pig Marathon and had walked out on the marathon’s “pasta party” because the food/atmosphere was so bad. My boyfriend and I asked some city workers to direct us towards a good restaurant and we were sent to Campanello’s. The service and food are average, but the atmosphere is awsome and it was a unique experience that left me with a smile.
I first ate at Adriaticos back around 1983, when I was a starving student at UC. I think they were over on Jefferson in those days. I have long since moved to the burbs, but whenever I am in Clifton I make a point of picking up a pizza to take home and show the kids what a pizza should taste like. I think the crust has changes a little over the years, but it is still garlicy and excellent. The sauce is spicy and rich. The place is downright grungy inside, but so is the rest of Clifton, so I can excuse that since they produce the best pizza I have ever had.

The freshest, best tasting ingredients on the the best, hand-tossed crust, served hot by friendly, attentive people who seem to like their job. This is actually my favorite pizza–not just here but anywhere. We discovered it at the Dayton location (UD area) and haven’t been disappointed at other Dewey’s restaurants. That would be enough to keep me coming back, but there’s more. Like salads (esp. the Greek) that you would be happy with in a fine-dining restaurant; an excellent selection of draft beers and ales not usually found in a pizzeria–not even close to the Bud-Bud Light-Coors-Coors Light-Miller-Miller Lite-and-on-and-on carbonated water you will usually find; they even have some first-rate, moderately priced wines, obviously carefully selected. Lots of people like the big chain pizza or standby La Rosa’s.
