Where is the Best Pizza in Charleston, South Carolina?
This isn’t just a regular pizza shop. The owners are very nice, and from jersey at that! where else can you get just a slice (a humongous slice) of pizza for on the run? and not only did i find out they had pizza slices, but they also serve great italian food, big portions at fair prices! It’s just a quiet, relaxed, friendly place to enjoy your favorite italian foods. the waitstaff is very young and loud however, but if you could look past that i’m sure you could enjoy your meal. There are two sides to the restaurant, one with dim lighting and cosey booths, but the other side just looked like a regular pizza pickup/ordering place.Pros + inexpensive, good selection, no waitCons – waitstaff
love the outdoor seating — but not enough of that or the indoor seating. Other than that it’s my only complaint!Food is wonderful, and several times I have gone by they have had unique specials du jour — one day it was meatloaf (with a scrumptious mushroom gravy), another time I went by it was fish ‘n chips (turns out they serve that every Sunday). But best of all, they deliver! Can’t find that too often around Charleston. All next summer when I come down to my Folly beach house, I am going to eat at Mom & Pop’s every day!Pros + great, hot food, fast!Cons – could definitely use more outdoor seating
My husband and I have eaten around the world and have consumed more than our fair share of pizza. The Mellow Mushroom in Charleston is absolutely the best calzone we’ve ever had! The look of the calzone when brought to your table is fun; makes you want to dive in and devour. Both our calzones were stuffed with ingredients (many to choose from) and the taste was fabulous. Had we found this on our first day here, we would have eaten here everyday!Cons – Music a little too loud for our taste – more suited for the college kids
