Where is the Best Pizza in Baltimore, Maryland?
A simple extra cheese pizza will make you think you have died and gone to pizza heaven. Their dough is great, you can taste the quality. The sauce is good. The cheese is great. The cheese is gooey and stretchy. My kids love to eat here, and my oldest likes to bring friends to Pizza Johns. I haven’t eaten the subs or pasta, I am a diehard pizza fan, but I hear they are good too. If you don’t try anything else, try the pizza and milkshakes. I like to eat the cheese first, then eat the dough (crust) last, it is the best part. The staff is friendly and fast. You have never seen a cleaner restaurant than this one. Huge, generous portions of Italian pasta with enough cheese to bring on a massive dairy-induced fit. The pizzas are fresh and hot, with plenty of variety to choose from. Service is pleasant and prompt. Real china dishes and silverware if you’re eating in! I recommend the gnocchi napoli and the Mondrago (sp?) pizza – fresh basil, mozzarella and whole tomatoes. this place screams Baltimore!!! little old ladies in the back arguing in italian over pizza dough…small neighborhood row home restaurant with BIG taste! Probably some of the best pizza I have ever had, the sauce is hearty and the crust is out of this world…if you like variety try the crab pie…its heaven on a plate! oh and GREAT house salad dressing!
We eaten here several times. We have eaten in, and sometimes ordered for pick-up. We usually get the “Bertucci’s” pizza for my husband and son who like traditional pizza, and a Silano white sauce pizza for myself. It comes with broccoli and chicken. Yummy. The rolls that come with the pizza (or any meal) are great and are fought over by my family. We always ask for extra. The pizza’s are cooked in a big red brick oven that can be seen from the dining room. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant. The restaurant staff has always looked happy and energetic.I have seen them very busy on weekend evenings. Pros + Dependable good. Free rolls! Good service.Cons – A bit more expensive than cheap eats.
Sorrentos of Abutus is a casual dining pizza place thats a nice place to take the family. The pizza is good, though a bit greasy, and their menu offers plenty of alternatives. One might go there to order a foot long chili dog or perhaps a chicken cheesesteak sub instead of pizza, thought the pizza is probably the best deal. It offers one of the cheapest large pizzas in town. The food and the seat yourself style may be a bit reminiscent of fast food restaurants, but hey, who comes to Arbutus looking for fine dining anyway? If you looking for some tasty pizza or buffalo wings, Sorrentos of Arbutus is a good choice.Pros + Inexpensive, Good foodCons – Slow service at night
