Where is the Best Piercing in New York, New York?
I’ve been pierced in many shops across the country and Venus is by far superior. I was introduced to them after a horrible experience with a well known shop on St. Marks. I’d had both nipples and my navel pierced at a shop on St. Marks and paid a high price for gold jewelry. It turned out the jewelry was fake and both piercings were misaligned and got infected. When I went in to ask for them to be changed they refused. The piercer who was in that day (who Id been pierced by previously) refused to help, stating that he was “tired of cleaning up after his (coworkers) bad work”. I called everyone I know in desperation and was told to go to Venus. I walked in and they immediately addressed the problem, fixed it and were totally professional, friendly and reassuring. My cousin wanted to tattoo an image of goddess Nike, she printed it out off internet but the image needed to be scaled down to how she wanted it tattooed. So, we citysearch-ed to find a reputable spot. We jotted down 4 locations and went to visit them to get more info and hopefully arrange an appt. 1st we went to Inkstop, there were couple of people in line in front of us, 2 already getting inked. After 20 mins we finally got some attention with the appointment boy. (There was no front desk so he just walked around w/appt book). We showed him the print out to which he wrinkled his nose, saying it wouldn’t look right as a tattoo but he’ll talk to the artist. He came back and said that the artist can’t size the drawing – basically said it can’t be done (!)… encouraging!
