Where is the Best Pet-Friendly Hotel in Portland, Oregon?

I’ve stayed here five times and every visit has been truly outstanding. The stately property drips 1940’s Hollywood glamour without being fruity or campy. It has a natural regal quality which is wonderful! What I love about Portland is that for a small city, it certainly has a plethora of wonderful accommodations. And as much as I love many of the property, I believe the Hotel Deluxe to be the best.Valet, Housekeeping, and the Front Desk always perform flawless. Aveda products, flat screen with a terrific menu of stations and movies, Chic decor with a sense of humor, and all an homage to Hollywood. The property, like a good movie, transports you to another place and time. The standard rooms can be a bit small, but the suites are not much more and well worth the extra coin!Other positives are the intimate stylish lounge that has superior drinks and a very attractive happy hour. The only take-away for the hotel is the location, which stuck in limbo between downtown and the Nob Hill. I stayed here on a business trip recently. After reading the reviews, I was nervous about getting a really nasty room. Everything actually turned out fine for me. My colleague however, had to put up with a few mishaps (bugs). My room was a decent size. I’m used to boutique hotels…so size doesn’t matter as much. The tv worked, bed…

Awesome hotel with amazing restaurant and bar attached! Perfect place for my 5 girlfriends to spend a shopping weekend. The suites are roomy. The pull-out catch bed is like sleeping on a Tempur-Pedic mattress–almost more comfortable then the beds! Immediate guest service attention, easy parking, and well equipped fitness center. The treadmills could be updated (a little loud for surrounding…

I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone travelling to Portland. The service at the Riverplace was phenomenal with incredible attention to detail. Every one I interacted with was friendly and helpful. From advice on area restaurants to travel directions, there was always someone available to help. Additionally, the hotel does not “nickel and dime” you. There is free wireless…

I recently had out-of-town visitors – as my loft is too small to accommodate them, I reserved two rooms at the Benson Hotel for them to stay in. These are dear friends of mine and I wanted them close to me and I wanted them to be pampered.Regretfully, I made the reservation based on the Benson’s reputation and their impressive lobby. I really should have done more research. My friends did not really complain, but, when I went to viist them, I was appauled by the size of the room – it was just large enough to fit the bed. We couldn’t really visit there and went down to the lobby which had plenty of room. Several times, we asked to have some service there and felt we were treated poorly because we were dressed somewhat casually. While I really enjoyed the visit from my friends, I definitely will consider another hotel in the future. Pros + Nice lobby and locationCons – Small rooms, stuffy service, poor value
