Where is the Best People Watching in Houston, Texas?
My boyfriend and I have visited the Strip House several times and always leave impressed. Truly one of the best steaks I have ever had and the Blue Cheese fondue is a must! The service is always wonderful and the waiters are very informative. We always have a great experience and the Strip House is a must try and least once, especially for steak loversPros + Service, steaks, Blue Cheese Fondue
This is the first review I have ever done on CitySearch, and this place drove me to do it. I loved it. The pizza is by far the best in Houston! The service was spectacular. The house salad is excellent with the cheese on top of a large slice of pear! YUM!! The gelato was the perfect way to end the meal, served in old fashion cocktail glasses, and a perfect individual portion. This is the best place in Houston for pizza. We had the sausage pizza and we just could not get enough of it. We went Saturday, plan on going again Thursday, and again as often as possible! LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!Pros + The wood burning oven, house salad, pizza, gelato, just about everything!Cons – Wine was not at the right temperature
It’s funny to see adults go in here and go gaga…like they do at a bar. “Why didn’t they have places like this when we were growing up?” they ask each other. They have perfect office gifts, although I think the moulded chocolate looks too waxy and manufactured. Nobody wants a Hershey’s Bar. Well, I say that, and Hershey’s is probably still the #1 candy. It’s $12 for a slice of sugared cocoa cake from heaven. The problem is there are 10 cakes to choose from…and you know they don’t give samples of the cake. They do, however, give samples of their fresh ice cream. After three samples, you might talk yourself out of getting anything, because your sugar tooth will be satiated. Go for the Girl Scout Cookie Thin Mint…it has “thin” in the title. They have dog treats here that look good enough for human consumption. Dogs can’t eat chocolate btw.My favorite location is the University Blvd. location because it looks a little bigger than the West Alabama location. Both loc
This was our first time going to Cullens. We were in a group of 10-12 people. The service was great. I have read several of these reviews that said other wise and I do not agree. Entire wait staff was great. The cocktails were delicious. I had a Sangria drink well work $8. The food was good in taste but the portions were not all that- expecially for the cost. I had the chicken fried rib eye and I really dont think it was rib eye. It was the thickness of 2 credit cards put together. It was good, but not $18.95 good. My husband had a stuffed chicken breast that was probably the size of a tennis ball, again not work $18.95 in size but good in taste. I would have loved to taste the $149.99 steak they were offering as a specail, but for $149.99, it better serve me for a week. I would recommend this place for a special occassion. They have the Grille @ Cullens that seemed to be more in my range and the food looked good.Pros + Great Drinks & FREE bread & ButterCons – porti
