If you want authentic Asian food this is not the place. (I doubt any place that considers them pan-asian can truly be authentic.)I’ve eaten here several times before. The first few times I thought the food was really good. But I think the more I come here the less I like it. STILL, I would recommend trying their all-you-can-everything-on-the-menu but be sure to go there with no less than three people and no more than six people, otherwise it’s not worth what you pay for. It’s just fun to be able to try everything on the menu. Whenever you go to a restaurant you always wished you could try everything on the menu so here’s your chance at Lulu’s. I like their Chicken Ramen noodles and mussels. Stay away from their Pad Thai or Bibim bop– really inauthentic. Pros + You can try everything on the menu! It’s good to try the first few timesCons – Not very authentic Asian food, it gets old after going to this many times

This place serves the best pan-Asian food in Chicago. They have a good number of vegetarian options (I love the eggplant dumplings.)The atmosphere is great, our waitress was very warm and friendly .Its quite relaxed,no need to dress up.Though everything was marvelous once we sat down, things weren’t quite nice until that point. The Valet service is ‘Atrocious’ .It was pathetic and the guys were pompous,if you dont drive a BMW ,they dont look at you.We waited for ever and ever and had to scream to get noticed. The guy asked us if we are ok to him parking in front and giving us the keys (for $10),parked our car came in and threw the keys on our table. It kind of spoilt the start for us,that and being seated next to the front door on a chillly night.I know someone has to sit there, but still…So…’d def go back (will take a cab this time) without expecting anything until iam at my table.

Went to Sunda on Friday night after leaving a cocktail party. W had no reservation, and were told it would be an hour-wait, which is not bad for a Friday. We sat at the bar for more than an hour, but the drinks were good and not too expensive (about $10 each, almost regardless of what you order). Was tough, but not impossible to get a bartender’s attention. Trouble is, the bar isn’t realy set up to accomdate that many people waiting for a table, so you have to work to be seen by a bartender. So, after waiting more than an hour (and two rounds of cocktails), we were seated at the Sushi bar — which, again, is okay, considering we didn’t have a reso. But our waiter was way overworked, and didn’t really give us much attention. It took nearly an hour to get our entrees. The sushi chef gave us each a piece of sashimi, which was delicious. My entree, the Red Snapper, was outstanding, but my boyfriend’s, the Kobe steak, was surprisngly bad. Slightly overcooked, a bit tough, and se

We visited this restaurant New Year’s Eve, and were sure we chose the best restaurant in all of Chicago. This restaurant had a feel of colonial Vietnam the moment one entered. The service was attentive and enthusiastic. The wine selection was complete and high quality. The most fantastic thing of all, of course, was the food. Everything was superb and quite authentic, much to our relief. It’s difficult to find a good Vietnamese restaurant, and we will frequently make the 500 mile journey just to eat here again and again.

Joy’s is a place that will leave a lasting impression and leave you wanting to come back time and time again. Their food is always fresh, flavorful, inexpensive and you will almost always go home with leftovers! I can honestly say that my friends and I count down the days until we go to Joy’s next and know that we are getting some of, if not the best Thai food in town. We are huge fans of the newly redone menu, which now features appetizers such as crab rangoon(the best I’ve ever had) and old favorites like Pad Thai and Fried Rice. Kudos to the staff who are professional and by far the best around. Take out is fast and is always the same quality as when you dine in. Joy’s had made it’s staple in Lakeview that we hope never disappears. Pros + InexpensiveCons – Parking Tight
