Where is the Best Over-30s Singles Scene in Seattle, Washington?
I usually drop by once a month, usually to order a particular drink. Kevin, the bartender, has always made an effort to remember my name, make conversation, and ensure I actually like the drink. The attention is appreciated, and is more than you can find at most places in Seattle.Service can be slow at times, and food is decent but nothing great, but I don’t really understand who someone would want to go to a drink lounge for food anyway.Pros + Good drinks, nice bartendersCons – Older crowd, not always the most fun
This seafood grill has a great patio that makes for a perfect romantic evening out. Ponti is located in Fremont and overlooks both the Fremont and Aurora bridges, its right on the water and feels great on a hot summer evening with a cool breeze. Go for sunset and enoy some drinks with some great views. Happy hour is early and allows you to get some of the pricier food for cheaper prices. I don’t even like seafood but can’t wait to go back to this restuarant just to be able to relax by the water and watch the boats go by. Might be a good place for a special occasion dinner. Morgon’s staff gave me my most horrific dining experience. I’ve been wined and dined at the finest but have never been treated so badly. Admittedly, my escort was a jerk who challenged the waitstaff by stating if Morgon’s steak was as good or better than Ruth’s he would pay..if not, the restaurant could pick up the tab. I would have paid the bill before I let that happen. Truly a jerk..he further embarrased me and asked for one steak split and a side of brocolli. The steak came and was placed in front of him. Nothing was placed in front of me. I felt as if I had been slapped in the face. I would have walked out if I wasn’t trapped in a cellar with no way home. I’ll never go back…ever! The wait staff should have realized my pedicament and done what they could to overcome the situation. Instead, they join in his game.The cost of that Rib Eye was around $70.00 and didn’t show up Ruth’s. Sorry.
Really enjoyed our stay at the Mayflower..excellent location , friendly , helpful check- in staff , clean good sized room and nice complimentary continental breakfast which was unexpected but welcome .Staff in Andaluca restaurant were friendly and attentive to us ,but could be overheard discussing other guests and customers..not very professional ! Overall a memorable stay at an historic hotel…
