Where is the Best Over-30s Singles Scene in Seattle, Washington?
It was our first time going to Twist. We made reservations on Opentable. From the outside, it looks like it could be a cool place. First impression when walking through the door was cheap. The website makes it look like a much nicer place than it is. The hostesses were nice and acknowledged our request for a view table. Walking down the hall towards dining room the water feature along the wall was cool as was disco pig above the bar. There was a great view looking out the windows towards Elliot Bay, until you get to the table at the window and your are right above the freeway, and say “oh, nice view of the freeway”. After being seated, again my impression of the place was cheap. The linens, tables and chairs were something you would see in a banquet hall at the local FOE club. Our server was nice when taking our drink order. I wanted to order some infused vodka as mentioned in the Citysearch Editorial review. The server informed us that they haven’t had that for over a year
sometimes a place just goes too far making people happy, and they get fat.ok, seriously. like it’s sister “matador west” in west seattle, this restaurant has something beautiful for everyone. i think the happy hour menu is genius, a huge selection of incredible little meals for just a few bucks a piece, and if you’re going to judge a bar on it’s tequila choices, you’re going to fall madly in love with the matador.this is one of those “mexican” food restaurants that specializes in american comfort food style mexican. authenticity is not the point here, pure food bliss is. unfortunately this is the destination for loud stupid kids on weekend nights, so if you have the choice head to matador west on weekends to get away from the amateurs.Pros + possibly the best happy hour in seattleCons – possibly the worst spot to try and enjoy a meal on friday night. (unless you like the zoo)
My fiance and I recently moved to Seattle and with our pocketbooks being a little tight, we have been trying all of the happy hours around town. Queen City Grill has the best one in Belltown for sure and possibly anywhere. We have been in twice now and have tried the shrimp, bruschetta (spelling?) , and the AMAZING kobe beef sliders. The only thing better than the quality and of the food was the price. For just $5 each these are the best quality happy hour items that i have seen. To make it even better, we saw their info on the table about facebook and twitter and saw that they offered the kobe sliders for free just for telling them we saw it. What a deal! We still have not been in for dinner and are waiting until we get a little more settled into Seattle to splurge. We will however go back again for happy hour especially since they have the best bartenders and staff that we have seen so far in town. I am not sure exactly what is in it but the Flatliner drink is out of this w
