A friend and I stopped into Bartini a month or so ago for happy hour after hearing rave reviews. Unfortunately, we were SORELY DISSAPOINTED with the service. As it was pretty busy we sat at the bar, and the bartender asked to see our ID (good job doing your job). He then loudly told us we couldn’t be there because we weren’t of age, and, as the rest of the patrons were staring at us, told us to leave. Too bad we are, and a coworker awkwardly corrected his math. The bartender didn’t didnt apologize, but instead ignored us the rest of the meal. It isn’t like we were expecting to be comped or anything, but an acknowledgement of his embarassing mistake would have been in line. Perhaps he was embaressed, but it is more awkward if you just ignore customers who are a foot away from you on the other side of the bar. Anyways, the services was extremely slow for a simple happy hour. I don’t care for the excuse of “it is being made fresh”…it doesn’t take that long to make fondu or plate a salad

The beer selection on tap is amazing, over 100+ and I’m not even a beer drinker. Their happy hour menu and pricing is unrivaled and their specialty cocktails (my fave is the Hot & Passionate) are worth writing home about. All in all, a great bar and even better happy hour. Pros + 100+ beers on tap, delicious well priced happy hour foodCons – Fills up quickly, noise level can get loud

Been to Saucebox a number of times, but always late night . Love the atmosphere, but drinks can be pricey for my usually low brow range. Finally able to catch their Happy Hour before a show, and I was so impressed.Well priced drinks ($3 Sapporo), and a fantastic food selection, $4 (!) each for a fantastic Miyako Burger and Pork Spring rolls. The Khao Soi was meh, but everything else made up for it.The service was prompt and friendly. The place was full, but the atmosphere was calm and we got our food in about 10 minutes. We came downtown for a show and I expected to be rushed. But the staff was so efficient and friendly, we had enough time to relax and enjoy a well-made Sazerac. Great experience. Will be back soon.Pros + Fantastic, reasonably priced Happy HourCons – Khao Soi not so great

Well, there’s a few things I would like to say about “The Vault/Martini Bar & Grill”. First, I am a musician. I would like to book my band there, but I heard I have to deal with a person from back east to get a show there. Not sure of this but this is what I heard. The bar & staff are quite nice to me when I run sound for a local act. But to deal with an outsider under emails & not have the booker/promoter there in case of problems arising, who would I direct my problems to? Any how, as far as it goes for the “bouncer”, I would let the manager/owner deal with that. If it deters people from coming back, then either have a talk with the bouncer to relax or have him find another job elsewhere. The name of the game is this: The bar makes money on selling drinks. Patrons purchase drinks, to relax or talk socially or business. If there is a bad apple ruining it for anyone, then maybe it’s time to put that apple in trash can. Everybody wins! All in all is this, take care of the bar & they wil

Reservations are a must! We were able to call that day and get reservations for later that night. Parking is confusing if you are not from Portland, but you can validate your ticket at PCG. Overall, great meal, great service, fun night out! Views from the 30th floor are outstanding!Pros + great food, great serviceCons – very dark inside, loud
