In my opinion, this Continental is best for its food whereas drinks and dessert should be gotten at the other location (I prefer the drink options at the midtown location, and desserts in shot glasses here were nothing special). If eating here for dinner, try the Rad Na salad (BIG portion, and the best dish overall), pita and hummus, thai chicken skewers, lobster mashed potatoes, crab pad thai and summer rolls (all were quite delicious!). I haven’t been here for brunch in a while but when I did go, I also remember it being quite delicious.Pros + small plates, brunchCons – long wait on weekends

First off, we were seated very promptly. By “We”, I mean there was a group of 5 of us that was celebrating my girlfriend’s birthday. The atmosphere was considerably spirited and buzzing on a Saturday night, as expected, and it was welcoming to both groups and romantic parties. The cocktail and wine menus were robust and very tantilizing. I do not have enough room to elaborate on each entree dish that was ordered, so I shall talk about the two that my girlfriend and I ordered. But, rest assured that each dish was exquisitely prepared and scrumptious all the same. To start, we ordered the JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKES appetizer and it was definitely a melt in your mouth experience. The crab meat was fresh and melted-butter soft & tender. The sauces that came with it were very complementary and gave the dish a swicy (i.e. sweet and spicy) richer flavor. My lady ordered the chilean seabass with mashed potatoes, which she cannot stop talking about. I ordered one of the seasonal preparations of mahi

I like Rouge, but this place honestly isn?t for everyone. It has all the things you?d think of with a Rittenhouse scene, both good and bad. It seems like the crowd there could get a little pretentious, but I didn?t find that to be the case with the patrons or the staff when I had dinner there with my mom recently. In fact, two women seated next to us struck up a great conversation with us when they overheard us discussing politics. And our waitress was exceptionally friendly. The prices are a little high on some items, like the $16 burger, but my mom said it was the best burger she?s ever had. I had salmon in an oxtail sauce that was perfectly cooked. Amazing, actually. The bottom line is, whether you?re the type to frequent this spot or make it a special occasion visit, the food is great and it?s a chic little place.Pros + great food, located on the square, it’s part of the rittenhouse scene (if that’s your thing)Cons – it’s part of the rittenhouse scene (if that’s not you

Great food, step up from Capriccio, the prior tennant. Good coffee. Great soups and sandwiches. in particular, the homemade chips are excellent. BUT, the service is absolutely horrible. They have very well meaning, but not so bright staff. They’re all quite nice, but screw up my order almost every time. Be it a toasted bagel, or a sandwich, inevitably something is messed up. I’ll get asked “was that to go or for here?” 4 times because they ask, then don’t listen for the answer. If I ask for a bagel with butter, they put some awful speciality butter on it without telling you, unless you specify regular butter. They’ll put your sandwich in the heat press, then forget about it, until you remind them. They have no system for waiting on customers. Sometimes you could be standing at the register for several minutes while the staff scurry around behind the counter doing other things. Sometimes one person takes your order, another takes your money and yet another makes the food.
